The Nature of True Goodness

During the , we gather to invite the spirits and align our hearts with the wisdom of the Buddha. In this sacred space, Namo Amituofo offers us a simple yet profound teaching: everything is good. Whether you find yourself with nothing or with everything, it is good. Whether others speak well of you or speak ill of you, it is also good. When your heart is rooted in goodness, everything you encounter in this world becomes good.

The Mirror of the Heart

Conversely, if your heart is distorted by the , everything you perceive will appear distorted. This distortion is not your original, true nature; it is merely a temporary clouding of your spirit. Therefore, you must use the to adjust your inner state. You must diligently adjust your heart and adjust your actions. By transforming your thoughts from confusion to , you transform your entire being into a state of purity. When you do this, everything returns to its natural state of goodness. It has always been this way; everything is good.

The Power of Chanting

Chanting Namo Amituofo is even better. When you immerse yourself in the Buddha’s name, your environment begins to change in accordance with your mind. Your destiny, once bound by the cycle of rebirth, also begins to change. You are no longer a prisoner of your past ; you are a practitioner on the path to liberation. The world around you shifts as your inner clarity grows, and the obstacles that once seemed insurmountable begin to dissolve.

A Promise of Rebirth

Children, right now, in this very moment, the Buddha is here with you. This is the supreme goodness. When you chant Namo Amituofo with the sincere vow to enter the , the Buddha will surely receive you. He will guide you directly into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, where you will never again suffer. This message was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe, to share the light of the Buddha with all beings.
