The Restless Search for Meaning
On September 14, 2019, during the World Disaster Relief and Blessing Assembly held in Taiwan and Hong Kong, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju provided profound teachings on finding true peace of mind. We often spend our lives searching, asking where we can find peace and relief from our suffering. In this human world, we are often busy and blind, drifting without a true anchor. How many of us truly understand the difficulty of seeing our true nature or hearing the Buddha's teachings?
The Illusion of the Material World
We cling to fame, status, wealth, and family, yet these are like floating clouds and a light breeze—impossible to grasp or hold. Within the cycle of , everything gathers and disperses according to conditions. Our comings and goings are hurried, and in the end, all worldly achievements are empty. The joys and sorrows we experience are merely illusions.
Breaking the Cycle of Samsara
Impermanence and the cycle of rebirth have become our daily reality. Our personal ego, selfishness, and habits have accumulated over countless eons, causing us to create karma continuously without pause. Because of this, our three hun souls and seven po souls can never find rest. We are left to wonder: where can we truly rely? Where do we come from, and where do we go after death?

Through the power of the Dharma, you can resolve conflicts with your and offer them through , guiding them toward the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. By doing so, you will rediscover your true self and see your original heart. You will reach a state of freedom, free from the trap of discriminations. With an awakened being's meditative concentration and an unmoved mind, you will find that rebirth in the Land of the Golden Lotus is your true destination.
