Words of Namo Amituofo:
The Essence of True Freedom
To flow with Causal Conditions means to follow the natural unfolding of events with a heart that is at peace. To be at ease means to remain free within one's own heart. When you can flow with conditions and remain at ease, your heart becomes truly autonomous. It is no longer trapped or constrained by the external world. In the work of saving the world and rescuing beings, one must be selfless and without ego. By flowing with conditions and not clinging to outcomes, you can remain calm and steady when facing any situation. This is the true meaning of being at ease.
The Shackles of the Ego
If you still hold onto a sense of self, you will inevitably be caught in the cycle of your own desires, demands, and attachments. When this happens, your heart and actions can no longer be truly autonomous. You become controlled by various forces:
- The weight of your own .
- The influence of who seek balance.
- The presence of attached spirits residing within your field.
- The interference of demon crowds that thrive on confusion.
Because of these influences, you find it impossible to flow with conditions. You are instead swept along by the momentum of your past actions, suffering through the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and falling back into the cycle of being reincarnated.
The Path of the Awakened
To be truly free, one must be able to act in accordance with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way without deviation. This is the hallmark of genuine freedom. Within this state of ease, one performs the work of saving the world and rescuing beings. Such a person is an awakened being who has achieved the integration of Body-Mind-Spirit. Those who have realised their true nature can adapt to any situation or person. They teach beings according to their potential, flowing naturally with the without being limited by the laws of the world. They teach and transform beings while remaining perfectly aligned with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. This is the true meaning of the Tathagata.
Transcending the Illusory
The Tathagata is free in the Dharma, free in action, and free in flowing with conditions. He follows all conditions but is never trapped or disturbed by their impermanence. He understands clearly that all laws of the world are empty in nature, and that within this emptiness, there is nothing to be gained. Thus, he flows with conditions and remains at ease.
Since time immemorial, sentient beings have been reincarnated through the six realms of existence, wandering through this world and others. You have spent countless lifetimes experiencing the arising and ceasing of conditions, enduring the endless suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death. Only when you understand that these experiences are merely dreams and illusory visions—that they are not permanent—can you stop being trapped by them. By breaking through these illusions, you can see the reality of existence and finally flow with conditions in true freedom. Those who can do this are the ones who have realised their true nature, who understand the true reality of all things, and who have truly gained the practical benefits of their practice.
