This is a record of an interview with Wang Jianmin, a Taiwanese actor who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the . This account reflects upon his life and his transition from the suffering of the lower realms to the peace of the Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on May 30, 2026.

Wang Jianmin speaks:

"I have finally found liberation! Everything is finally over! Right now, the world I inhabit is called the Western -Nature Land. I want to tell everyone that everything I have ever been, everything I have ever done, has finally reached a perfect and complete conclusion here in this sacred place.

My name is Wang Jianmin, and I was a humble actor in Taiwan. To be here now, communicating with all of you in the human world through this spiritual connection—ha! It is truly the most magical thing imaginable. In my past life, I even acted in films about the spirit world and the supernatural. Who would have thought that I would one day be expressing my own words to all of you from the perspective of a spirit?

A Surprising Turn of Events

This experience is quite extraordinary, wouldn't you say? I see so many people here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land, all of us bathing in the glorious Buddha-light, feeling such immense . I am just one of many Taiwanese people here, but there are also so many others from Australia, mainland China, and countless other nations. We are all gathered here together in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. It turns out that we were all saved by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre! Ha! It is hard for people to imagine, isn't it? I felt the same way at first, but seeing us all gathered here in such happiness is truly moving.

I must emphasise this: I was saved by Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, who is currently in the human world. I need to repeat this to everyone. I, Wang Jianmin, have been gone from the human world for quite some time now. It has been nearly two years since I passed away due to illness. The memory of that time is truly tragic. I was only in my fifties—not exactly old—yet I was burdened by a mountain of debt, and I left the world in such a state of sickness.

The Weight of Karmic Debt

My poor elderly mother and my sister! My mother is now suffering from dementia, bedridden and unable to care for herself. My father passed away from cancer long ago, and my older brother also died young, before he even reached fifty. Out of our family of five, only my mother and sister remain, relying on each other. My heart aches for my poor, suffering sister. Even though all of this is in the past for me now, the I created had to be repaid by me. That is the story I want to share with you all.

Even though I was in agony when I died, I never imagined that the world after death would be even more painful. When I arrived to report to the hells, I was filled with absolute terror. But looking back, I had done nothing in my life worth praising; instead, I had dragged so many people down with me, and my personality was far from perfect. It was only natural that someone like me would end up in hell. I had no illusions and no resentment, because I knew that everything would eventually return to me.

The Agony of the Brain-Gouging Hell

Deep down, I believed in the laws of karma and cause and effect, but I never received the true Buddhist education to untie the knots in my heart. Once you know about karma, how do you improve? How do you avoid all this pain and stop suffering? I did not know, and that is why I ended up suffering in hell.

I spent over a year and a half there. In hell, I repeated the same suffering every single day; there is nothing else to say about it. This hell is called the brain-gouging hell. As the name suggests, they would gouge out my brain, leaving my entire body and head covered in blood. The pain was beyond description, and I had to experience that same agony countless times for over a year.

A Debt Paid in Blood

I am so incredibly grateful now. I consider myself one of the lucky ones. Many people suffer in hell for not just a year or two, but for decades, centuries, or even millennia. That is the true meaning of suffering—they are in pain every single moment, an endless cycle of misery.

I am so fortunate to have arrived here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Truly, I want to tell everyone that I was saved by the Buddha. Without the Buddha, I would not be here in peace today. Namo Amituofo is a truly great Buddha, and He has already arrived in the human world. I hope the people of Taiwan will believe this. We Taiwanese are inherently simple and kind-hearted; our land is a blessed and precious place, and there are many who believe in the Buddha!

The Saviour in Our Midst

Do you know that it is precisely because a Taiwanese person named Practitioner Su—who had already realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood while in Taiwan—possesses the skill to freely travel to and from the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, that I, Wang Jianmin, have the opportunity to be reborn in the Western Dharma-Nature Land? The Western Dharma-Nature Land was also established by Practitioner Su. Under the guidance and assistance of Namo Amituofo, he built this Buddha-land so that many suffering beings like us could come here and stop enduring such pain. We Taiwanese have such great ! If everyone could believe in the Buddha, that would be an even greater blessing.

I sincerely hope to spread this message far and wide, so that all Taiwanese people will believe in the Buddha and perhaps even visit the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. Practitioner Su has settled here now; he will not return to Taiwan, but will remain in Australia. This is because the place where Namo Amituofo resides is exactly here at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. This was the vow Practitioner Su made when he first set out: to build a pure and dignified temple in Australia to lead people from all over the world onto the true path of learning Buddhism.

The Scope of Deliverance

Although it may look sparsely populated here, and it seems like not many people are studying Buddhism, the number of beings from the spirit realms that Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su have saved here is countless! I, Wang Jianmin, am just one small individual who once lived in the human world. But look across the entire Earth, every country, every planet, the universe, the Milky Way—how many beings have been saved because Practitioner Su realised his true nature and attained Buddhahood, and because Namo Amituofo resides at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia?

This is hard for ordinary people to believe, but think about it: is the Buddha's vow not vast? Did the Buddha not come specifically to save beings? So, for the Buddha to come to this world to save beings is the most natural thing in the world.

A Message to My Family

Furthermore, Practitioner Su's words and actions, and the vows he has made, are identical to those of the Buddha. He has not only realised his true nature, but he has also made an incomparably vast vow to save all boundless suffering sentient beings. That is why the Buddha has come to this world. Everything is natural; please do not doubt it. Even if you have doubts in your heart, why not visit the website of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre and see how beautiful this place is? Just observe everything this place has done, how many beings it has helped to leave suffering and gain happiness, and how many disasters it has averted in the world, and you will understand.

You should know that, apart from Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, I truly cannot think of any other saviours. No matter how many movies you watch about saviours, ha! Those are just the tip of the iceberg. If you could read all the teachings of the Buddha, the teachings of Teacher Xia Lianju, and the interview transcripts on the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre website, you would understand everything I am saying now.

My spirit is very clear now, and I can tell you everything I have learned here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. Honestly, I have gained so much here—it is impossible to finish describing it. I have only been here for three days, and I have already witnessed many miracles. Things that would be unimaginable in the human world are happening here, and they are happening constantly.

When many of us were being led here by Practitioner Su of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the sky above the temple was filled with many beings and demon crowds, existing within the clouds, keeping the sky over the temple in a constant state of gloom. Although it did not rain much, the sky was always dark, and the black clouds were very thick.

This was all because after Practitioner Su saved us, our and demon crowds came looking for him because of the debts we owed. Do you know how much suffering Practitioner Su had to endure to save us? He did not say it explicitly, but we saw it very clearly. This is what is called the Buddha in the human world taking on the suffering of beings.

Among the beings in the clouds, I could recognise those to whom I owed debts. My past beings came looking for me. It was not just me; every celebrity who arrived in the Western Dharma-Nature Land was the same. Everyone had immeasurable and boundless beings among them. Each one said to Practitioner Su, 'I am not reconciled! Why was he saved? I also want to be saved; I also want to be reborn in the Western Dharma-Nature Land.'

It is clear that the Western Dharma-Nature Land is a truly wonderful place. That we can be reborn here today is truly thanks to the Buddha and thanks to Practitioner Su. I, Wang Jianmin, am now filled with Dharma-joy and happiness. I am a true practitioner of Buddhism, and that is what I am most proud of today.

The words 'learning Buddhism' now make me feel a world of difference. It turns out the Buddha's world is so beautiful, and it turns out that attaining Buddhahood is a path everyone can take. I understand now, and I have thoroughly felt the Buddha's . Therefore, I am at peace listening to the sutras and hearing the Dharma here in the Western Dharma-Nature Land. I dare not have too many stray thoughts; I am content to follow the Buddha's teachings.

I believe that in this life, I will definitely have a good place to go. If I am even more diligent, I can be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in the future, which is the most perfect and complete path. I must be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss; I do not want to return to the human world to suffer again. In the human world, no one can be the master of their own fate; everyone is suffering and creating karma. I do not want to walk that path again.

I also hope that my dear sister in the human world will not follow in my footsteps. You have truly suffered, but now that you have heard some of what your brother has to say, you can learn Buddhism. If you go online to understand the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, the knots in your heart will surely be untied, and you will know which path to take. You can teach our elderly mother to chant Namo Amituofo. Although she is not clear-headed, the six characters 'Namo Amituofo' will certainly help her.

Namo Amituofo.

Wang Jianmin"
