This is a record of an interview with the grandmother of Li Ruizhen, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. She now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon her journey from the ghost realm to the Western Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on June 27, 2025.

Grandmother of Li Ruizhen speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. I am currently chanting Namo Amituofo, without a single moment of pause. I chant, and I chant, and I chant. I am filled with such profound gratitude for the Buddha; if it were not for the Buddha, I would still be trapped in the ghost realm, never having the opportunity to witness the Buddha's light.

I am deeply grateful to Practitioner Su. It was Practitioner Su who brought me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Practitioner Su is truly a Buddha—so compassionate, so incredibly compassionate. When I look at Practitioner Su, it is as if I am looking at Namo Amituofo, and now that I have arrived here at the side of Namo Amituofo, it is as if I am looking at Practitioner Su."

A Message to My Granddaughter

"Oh, I am truly so happy! How could I have such immense to be able to come here? I thank my granddaughter—I know now that her name is Li Ruizhen. It is because of the karmic connection we shared in the past that she was able to save us.

I see that she is doing well at the side of Practitioner Su, but she comes and goes, and her heart cannot yet find true meditative concentration. She must cherish this connection; it is a bond cultivated over many lifetimes. She must not let it slip away. This is what I wish to tell her."

The Bitterness of Human Existence

"I listened to the at the side of Practitioner Su, and I felt such . Being human is so bitter. The era I lived in was incredibly difficult and chaotic. I hope that for my granddaughter's generation, things are much better and she does not have to suffer as much, but as long as one is a human, the suffering remains the same.

If everyone could chant Namo Amituofo and understand the importance of coming to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, then no one would be deceived by this world. Their hearts would not be so burdened by suffering, and their spirits would have the opportunity for liberation."

Reflections on the Cycle of Rebirth

"I, too, have suffered greatly, and I have been reincarnated through so many lifetimes before finally encountering the Buddha in this lifetime. I have looked back at my past lives, and I have been everything. For many lifetimes, I was an animal, and it was only in this lifetime that I was reborn as a human. I have been human before, but I did not learn well; I created so much negative . I feel so sorry for the beings I harmed. I hope the Buddha can help them and bring them together with me to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

I will say no more. I must continue chanting Namo Amituofo. Here, I have not stopped for a single moment; I must keep chanting without end.

Gratitude to Namo Amituofo. Gratitude to Practitioner Su.

Myo-yin bows in reverence."
