Following media reports regarding the passing of the renowned Hong Kong singer Khalil Fong, the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre received a message from a lay practitioner expressing the wish to sponsor his . After inquiring with Namo Amituofo about the whereabouts of his spirit, the of Practitioner Su guided his spirit to the Western Land of Nature at the temple to listen to the Dharma. After seven Dharma assemblies, he was finally sent to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss during the eighth assembly on the fourth of this month. We are deeply grateful to the anonymous lay practitioner for their compassionate heart in helping him escape the suffering of the cycle of rebirth. Namo Amituofo.

The Final Realisation

Lay Practitioner Khalil Fong speaks:

"It feels as though I have only just begun to truly understand. So, this is what life is really about. Everything I once held onto—it was all an illusion.

I am Khalil Fong. Many people knew the role I played in this life, and perhaps some have never heard my name, but none of that matters now. The moment I lost my physical body, everything I had known was destined to come to an end. I am now just a spirit—a spirit independent of that body. And this spirit of mine, which carries the imprints of all my past lives, can finally see everything with absolute clarity.

A Debt of Gratitude to Practitioner Su

I am filled with gratitude for Practitioner Su, who saved me. I did not know Practitioner Su while I was alive; it was only after being rescued that I came to understand the depth of this kindness, and my heart is now overflowing with thankfulness. I am deeply moved that such a charitable and compassionate person exists in this world, quietly dedicating themselves to helping not only the living but all sentient beings across the invisible realms. I had my own religious beliefs during my life, and I understood the value of life and the importance of respecting all things. Yet, I remained far too distant from true liberation, and there were so many fundamental truths I simply did not grasp.

The Music of the Soul

In this life, I was passionate about music. It felt as though it was only within the world of music that I truly lived as myself. I would sacrifice my own health for the sake of my craft; no matter how late the hour, I remained immersed in it. I knew my physical health was not particularly optimistic, and I knew that perhaps one day I would have to depart, but I never imagined that the end would come so suddenly.

I know that many people are grieving for me—those who loved me. Whether it is my family, my friends, or the fans who cherished my music, my departure must have brought you sorrow and pain. However, I want to tell you all that I am doing better now—far better than I ever was before.

A Life Beyond the Physical

Without a physical body, my spirit is no longer confined to the space of music; I am now living a life in the spiritual realm. I am currently in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, brought here by Practitioner Su. I imagine this is something many people will find hard to believe.

I have come to believe in the power of Causal Conditions. I understand now that one must follow these conditions, that nothing should be forced, and that everything unfolds naturally according to the Law of Cause and Effect. I am incredibly fortunate to have had the Causal Conditions to encounter the Buddha’s teachings, and only now do I realise that this is the true path to liberation.

I am deeply grateful to those who helped me, allowing me to be rescued by Practitioner Su so that I no longer have to suffer. I am grateful for everything, and I am grateful to all of you.

With deepest bows, Khalil Fong."

Namo Amituofo.
