The Celestial Realms and the Power of Vows

Within the ten directions and the six realms of existence, celestial beings are among those who possess the greatest , second only to the Four Sacred Realms. From the first heaven to the twenty-eighth, these beings have sought through the compassionate vows of Practitioner Su. These connections were not formed by chance; they are the result of the accumulation of Causal Conditions and the ever-expanding power of his vows. Through genuine practice and the Buddha's blessing, his commitment to saving all beings has gradually brought everything to fruition. From the early days at the Hsiang Kuang Chamber in Shiding, Taiwan, to the establishment of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia, every step has been guided by the unwavering vow of Practitioner Su.

Celestial Phenomena and the Call for Chao Du

When Practitioner Su steps outside the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia during the day, the sky often transforms into a display of celestial wonder. These phenomena are not merely for show; they are a profound plea for Chao Du from beings across the realms:

  • Heavenly Maidens Scattering Flowers: Celestial beings manifest to shower the sky with blossoms, symbolising their aspiration for the Pure Land.
  • Phoenixes Spreading Wings: A sign of auspiciousness and the of the true nature.
  • Lotus Flowers Blooming: Countless lotus flowers of varying sizes fill the horizon, representing the pure potential for rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Even beings from the Demon Realm have come to join this call, seeking refuge and expressing their sincerity, sometimes even manifesting through the appearance of dark clouds to show their earnest desire to be saved. These celestial beings are well-acquainted with Practitioner Su, remembering how he opened the gates to the twenty-eighth heaven during his assemblies in Taiwan to offer Chao Du and engage in profound dialogues about their practice. At that time, Practitioner Su was focused solely on helping all beings, unaware that he had already attained the .

The Humble Journey of a Practitioner

When he served as a volunteer in Kuching, he had already mastered the visualisation of the Dharma Body, a natural manifestation of his past practice. Upon returning to Taiwan, he continued his work to save beings by conducting the , delivering Dharma talks, and serving as a volunteer, a lecturer, and a chanter for the ceremonies. Even then, Namo Amituofo was already the one presiding over the ceremonies. Practitioner Su remained humble and modest, never seeking recognition, knowing only that he must provide a space for those who wished to chant the name of Namo Amituofo. He opened his own home as a temple, ensuring that fellow practitioners had a place to listen to the sutras and chant.

The True Abode of Namo Amituofo

What began as a simple weekly group chanting session evolved into the Thrice Yearning Ceremony, as the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas recognised his deep Faith, Vows, and Practice, and his genuine desire to help all beings leave suffering behind and find happiness. Surrounded by thirty-six Dharma protectors, Practitioner Su was blessed with the auspicious signs of the Western Three Saints when he first received the Infinite Life Sutra, which further solidified his resolve. He has walked this path with steadfast determination, always speaking of the beauty of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Today, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is where Namo Amituofo truly abides. It is a place where the gates of the hells are opened, marking a new milestone in the work of salvation. As Practitioner Su continues to elevate his practice, his visualisation of the Dharma Body has become increasingly vast, and his ability to bring rain to Australia when needed is well-known among the celestial beings, which is why they are so eager to seek his Chao Du.

The Path to Buddhahood

Practitioner Su possesses countless manifestations of the Dharma Body, which he employs with perfect ease. He uses the Infinite Life Sutra as his guide for practice, ensuring that every one of the forty-eight vows of Namo Amituofo is put into action. Today, all those connected by karmic affinity, and indeed all beings in the universe, come to seek Chao Du. Practitioner Su is dedicated to propagating the Pure Land method of chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, guiding all beings toward rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. He practises the Four Great Vows every day, embodying the Buddha-nature, and by faithfully following the forty-eight vows, he has achieved the path to become a Buddha.
