The Dissolution of Time and Space
In a flash, time and space are shattered. Whether we speak of a hundred years, a thousand years, or ten thousand years, all of these durations collapse into this very moment. When the barriers of space are opened, all things connect, and the past and the present appear right before your eyes.
The six realms of existence and the four holy states are no longer separated. In a single instant, the ten directions of the Realm can manifest. This is the profound mechanism through which we resolve the conflict with our and perform to guide them to the of Ultimate Bliss. When you understand that these boundaries are fluid, you can truly begin to transcend the limitations of the material world.
The Vigilance of the Spirit
However, we must be vigilant. In a single flash of being drowsy or distracted, your three hun souls and seven po souls scatter, making it difficult for your spirit to remain unified and focused. When the mind is not settled, the path to liberation becomes obscured by the fog of our own wandering thoughts.
Active and persistent diligent practice is your primary defence against the scattering of the spirit. Through constant focus, you can walk the Buddha's path in a single flash, embodying the state of an awakened being. When your breath stops, life and death are separated in a single flash; therefore, maintain your focus.
The Infinite Potential of a Single Thought
The power of a single thought is immense and determines the direction of your entire existence. Consider the possibilities that arise within the span of one thought:
- In a single thought, you can travel throughout the lands of all Buddhas and make offerings to them.In a single thought, you can create that leads to the hells.In a single thought, you can be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
The Call to
Seconds and minutes are merely coarse appearances of time. What truly matters is keeping the Buddha-name in your heart without interruption, cutting through all delusions and afflictions. My dear disciples, in every flash and every single thought, are you awake and alert? If you are awakened, how will you act?
