The Buddha resides within your heart. Therefore, you must learn to look inward rather than seeking outward for answers. For many Buddhist practitioners, the image of the Buddha serves as a vital anchor for the spirit. When you have matters of the heart that you wish to confide in the Buddha, you do not need to speak aloud. Simply press your palms together and gaze steadily at the Buddha. In the silence of your heart, transmit your thoughts word by word. No matter how long you speak, the Buddha will listen with infinite patience. He will never tell you that your time is up or that He is too busy to hear you. The Buddha is always responding to His children; the only question is whether you are able to receive His message.

The Sensitivity of the Spirit

The ability to receive the response of Namo Amituofo depends entirely on the sensitivity of your spirit and your level of awareness. Some Buddhist practitioners are naturally more attuned and can perceive the words of the Buddha, while many others cannot. Those who have cultivated deep skills in awareness may receive messages from the Buddha clearly. They can hear these messages with their ears and receive them within their hearts, allowing them to record these sacred teachings as the words of the Buddha. Others may receive these messages through their heightened awareness, yet find that physical obstacles prevent them from fully processing or understanding them. Even if you cannot hear a direct response, you should find great peace in the act of unburdening your heart to the Buddha. As long as the conditions are ripe and you follow the path of truth, the Buddha will certainly extend a helping hand to you, whether you consciously feel it or not.

The Healing Power of the Buddha's Gaze

When you look at the Buddha, especially at His compassionate face and eyes, your heart will gradually settle. You will find yourself immersed in the Buddha-light, allowing your actions to become calm and steady, free from restlessness and anxiety. As long as you keep the Buddha in your heart, He is always by your side. Furthermore, when you look at the Buddha, the beings within our bodies also see Him. The Buddha-light shines directly upon these beings, soothing their resentment and anger. They see the Buddha extending His arms to lead them, and they are able to leave , enter the Buddha-light, and resolve the conflict that has bound them to us for so long.

The Path of Purification at Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary

At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, as long as you strive diligently in your purification and perform prostrations to remove karmic obstacles, you will make progress. You must learn to let go of a strong sense of self and avoid letting your personality dictate your actions. When you clear away these obstructions, your clarity will return. As your awareness in the present moment increases, you may even hear the Buddha calling your name. This is the first step toward receiving the Buddha's messages, though it must be verified through the guidance of Practitioner Su. At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su are all here, walking this path together with all of you.
