Moving Forward with Boldness: A Discourse from Namo Amituofo
Teachings from Namo Amituofo
Recorded on January 6, 2023
A Sacred Sanctuary for Cultivation
My children at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, do you possess the boldness to move forward alongside Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su? Hsiang Kuang is far more than a blessed location; it is a precious sanctuary—a place within the Buddha’s gate where everyone may cultivate both and wisdom.
A temple must possess sufficient resources of blessings and wisdom to provide for the various needs of the fourfold assembly as they engage in their practice. If there are deficiencies or shortcomings in these areas, it becomes difficult for the temple to serve as a proper foundation for the fourfold assembly to pursue their spiritual development.
The Supreme Path to Buddhahood
The fourfold assembly must understand that the Buddha’s teachings are the methods by which all beings can attain Buddhahood, achieve liberation from the cycle of rebirth, and leave suffering behind. The Pure Land Gate is the supreme path among these—it is the direct method for becoming a Buddha. Furthermore, Hsiang Kuang is a temple dedicated to propagating the Buddha’s teachings, inheriting and transmitting the Pure Land tradition, and training the Sangha to realise their true nature and attain .
Because Namo Amituofo truly abides here, because Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju provides guidance, and because Practitioner Su, who has realised his true nature, cares for all the disciples, this place is truly the Western Pure Land manifested on Earth.
The Infinite Power of the Pure Land
This sanctuary holds immeasurable wisdom, blessings, and the necessary resources to satisfy the urgent needs of the fourfold assembly and infinite suffering beings who seek liberation and the Buddha’s teachings. With Namo Amituofo present here, the temple is able to lead beings into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and satisfy the great vows of infinite beings who wish to be reborn in the Western Pure Land.
It provides a constant stream of Prajna wisdom to help beings resolve their confusion and helps beings distance themselves from, and eventually transcend, the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death. It employs the boundless power of merit and majestic power to subdue demonic enemies and reveal the subtle Dharma. It utilises the to help beings resolve their karmic grievances and perform to lead them to rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
Bridging the Human Gap
These conditions and capabilities have always existed at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. However, because the human world is not yet fully aware of this, Practitioner Su has had to work with such great hardship. This is because the Dharma affinity within the human world has not yet fully matured. Why does Namo Amituofo say that the Dharma affinity is not yet mature? It is because the work of this Pure Land mission is capable of achieving all the benefits just mentioned. Whether the human world has the causal conditions to receive these supreme merits and benefits depends on the efforts of the fourfold assembly.
You must strive and practise diligently. You must develop the treasure of your own true nature. It is necessary to incorporate the infinite wisdom, virtues, auspicious characteristics, and Dharma affinity of those who have realised their true nature in the human world. Only then can you bridge the gap that currently exists between the temple and the human world.
A Call to Courageous Action
Currently, due to the great compassionate vows and the tireless, courageous Chao Du work of Practitioner Su, infinite beings from the spirit realms have already been saved from suffering and reborn in the Western Pure Land. He has helped countless demon crowds turn away from evil and return to the right path, guiding them from the Demon Realm into the Buddha’s path. This is truly a great manifestation of the power of an awakened being. He is a Buddha who has descended into the human world to save the world and deliver beings.
The time is now for the fourfold assembly to rise up with great strength. Join Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, and move forward with boldness. Namo Amituofo.
