Words of Namo Amituofo:
To move forward is to embody a powerful force of action. When you make a sincere vow, the energy to act naturally arises within your heart. It is the perfect union of your vow and this inner energy that generates the true momentum for action. If this momentum is directed toward the benefit of all beings, it becomes a force of immense Goodness.
The Great Purpose of Saving Beings
When you act to help others leave suffering behind, you are supported by the Dragon and Heaven Protectors and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The greatest benefit you can offer to any being is to help them save themselves from the cycle of reincarnation and the vast ocean of suffering that is life and death. This is a monumental task. To succeed, you must possess a firm, unyielding resolve and the courage to break through the various obstacles that will inevitably arise on your path of practice.
Overcoming the Weight of
Within the cycle of reincarnation, your own Goodness and evil are intertwined. You have been caught in the relentless turning of karma, life after life, for countless ages. If you wish to transform your karma and escape this cycle of endless reincarnation, you must possess great courage and strength. Only then can you stand against the weight of your karmic destiny. This power of resistance comes directly from your vow.
The Path of Diligent Practice
Your vow must be greater than your karma. When you put this vow into action, you generate the momentum needed to move forward. By combining this with your own diligent practice, the power of the Buddha can then manifest within your efforts. This practice takes many forms, including:
- Chanting the name of Namo AmituofoPerforming prostrations to the BuddhaReciting the SutrasWorking to change personality traits
As you engage in this diligent purification and transformation, you will find that your spiritual sensitivity and the quality of your spirit are greatly enhanced. You will be able to let your momentum be guided by a vow of pure Goodness as you move forward.
Spiritual Breakthroughs and Divine Connection
When your practice reaches this level of purity, you will be able to receive the messages of the Buddha and communicate directly with Him. You will find that the barriers of space are opened, allowing you to visit and save beings in different realms. This is the true breakthrough of spiritual practice. Namo Amituofo is filled with to see each member of the fourfold assembly moving forward, each according to their own sincere vow.
