In this human world, the ultimate goal of learning the Buddha’s teachings and engaging in spiritual practice is to realise one's true nature and attain Buddhahood. When one successfully attains the Buddha’s path, one achieves the perfection of the three bodies: the , the Reward Body, and the Transformation Body. This is the highest possible achievement for any spirit. However, this profound state of being is not reached overnight. It must be cultivated through a rigorous process of spiritual purification and diligent practice. For many, this journey spans across multiple lifetimes of effort before the moment of true success finally arrives.
The spirit itself is unborn and undying. Once you have attained Buddhahood, your spirit will no longer be subject to suffering. You will reside eternally in the state of permanence, bliss, true self, and purity. This is the ultimate and everlasting liberation of the spirit. When we look into the deep memory of our spirits, we can see that all of you have been practitioners in your past lives. Some of you achieved great success, while others lived lives of relative peace. Some of you may have created negative , while others performed acts of Goodness. Some of you engaged in widespread Generosity, while others focused on forming virtuous connections with others. Regardless of your past, you have all spent time working on your skills in the Buddha’s teachings. You have all formed deep, karmic connections with Buddha and Practitioner Su, which is why you are here today at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, working alongside them to save the world and rescue sentient beings.
The most important task you face today is not merely to seek your own liberation, but to save yourself and the immeasurable and boundless sentient beings residing within your own body. These are the spirits that have been bound to you through your past actions. You must ensure that you do not fall back into the vast ocean of reincarnation. Namo Amituofo is always waiting for the moment when you are ready to return to the Western Pure Land. Today, Namo Amituofo is present here at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. For those whose every thought is focused on Namo Amituofo, the Buddha is watching over you, assisting you as you move forward on the Buddha’s path.
You must be diligent in your efforts to seek the . No matter what difficulties or tests you may encounter on your journey, you must face them with courage. You must resolve the conflict, change your ways, and continue to move forward until you realise your true nature and attain Buddhahood. You must never give up! The path to is paved with persistence, and your commitment to this practice is the key to your final liberation. Keep your heart focused, maintain your practice, and trust in the guidance of Namo Amituofo as you walk this sacred path.
