The Path of Direct Realisation

On the seventeenth of November, 2024, during the noon offering, Namo Amituofo provided these essential teachings. The phrase 'no need for other methods' signifies that one does not need to rely on any external techniques or complex rituals to reach the ultimate goal. When we speak of 'spontaneous ,' we refer to the natural unfolding of wisdom—the true benefit of clearing the mind and seeing one's true nature. This is the essence of the path: chanting the Buddha's name, and doing so by chanting one Buddha's name to the end.

When you commit to this practice, you are engaging in a process that is both simple and profound. You do not need to search for complicated paths or esoteric rituals. By focusing your entire being on the sacred name, you allow your original nature to reveal itself. This is the meaning of 'no need for other methods, spontaneous awakening.'

The Universal Resonance of the Sacred Name

For ten kalpas, the sacred name of Namo Amituofo has resonated throughout the Ten Directions of the Realm. It has been transmitted across this Earth, through countless other planets, across nations, and within numerous Buddha-lands and dimensions of space. It is a sound that transcends the boundaries of time and location.

Many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, during their own stages of practice, also chanted the name of Namo Amituofo to attain Buddhahood. This demonstrates the magnificent benefits of chanting the sacred name. When these Buddhas established their own Buddha-lands, they too propagated the name of Namo Amituofo as the primary method for liberation. In this worldly realm, we call this the Pure Land Dharma Gate.

Transforming the Heart into a Pure Land

Your own is a land of its own. If you continuously purify your heart by chanting the Buddha's name, it will eventually transform into a Pure Land—a Pure Buddha Land. Namo Amituofo has already used this sacred name to save immeasurable and boundless beings across the Ten Directions of the Dharma Realm, leading them into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Today, the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre stands as the place where Namo Amituofo truly dwells. Here, we continue the work of purification through the chanting of the sacred name. Practitioner Su, through the method of Dharma-Body Visualisation Deliverance, works in tandem with the compassionate power of Namo Amituofo to assist countless beings from the spirit realms.

  • Those who chant: Beings who have practised chanting receive the guidance of Namo Amituofo and are led directly into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
  • Those who have not yet chanted: Beings who have not yet entered the practice are guided into the realms of humans and heavens.
  • The Three Good Realms: By entering these higher realms, they are spared the intense suffering of the three evil realms.

A Sanctuary for All Beings

Many of the spirits seeking at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre have actually encountered the name of Namo Amituofo in their past lives. They were once touched by the Buddha's but, for various reasons, were unable to attain rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss at that time. Now, upon hearing that Namo Amituofo truly dwells at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, they come forward to seek spiritual deliverance. This includes immeasurable and boundless beings from the Ten Directions of the Dharma Realm, even those who were once part of the demon crowds.

The sacred name of Namo Amituofo permeates the entire Dharma Realm and spans the three periods of time: the past, the present, and the future. We hope that all students of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre can cherish this magnificent Dharma affinity. Gathered here at the centre, you have the rare opportunity to receive the teachings from Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su.

The Call to Buddhahood

By dedicating yourself to chanting the sacred name of Namo Amituofo, you will find that you need no other methods to achieve spontaneous awakening. You will see your true nature, fulfil the mission of saving the world and helping all beings, and ultimately ensure your own rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Furthermore, you will be able to establish your own Buddha nature within you, propagate the sacred name of Namo Amituofo, and lead vast numbers of beings into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Namo Amituofo.
