The Pervasive Nature of Change

Impermanence is not merely a feature of the human world; it is a fundamental truth that permeates the entire vastness of the Realm. We often believe that change is something we can escape, yet it is the very fabric of the realms we inhabit. To understand this is to begin the journey toward true clarity.

In the of Ultimate Bliss, which is a manifestation of the true self, beings are not subject to the whims of impermanence. They dwell in a state of purity and profound stability. Conversely, in the realms where beings are governed by and where demon crowds reside, the environment is constantly shifting, polluted, and unstable. These beings are perpetually tossed by the waves of change, unable to find a moment of true peace.

The Turbulence of the Karmic Mind

When you face these constant changes, if you lack meditative concentration, your heart will inevitably fluctuate in response to external circumstances or internal thoughts. This instability creates a ripple effect that invites your to manifest. This is what we call the manifestation of spiritual obstacles. When these obstacles appear, you may find yourself trapped in the suffering of ageing, the pain of illness, or even facing the threshold of death. It is a difficult path, yet it is the natural consequence of a mind that has not yet found its centre.

The Mastery of Meditative Concentration

However, when you face these changes with meditative concentration, the depth of your practice will dictate how your heart responds. The deeper your meditative concentration, the less your heart will be moved by the external world. As your heart remains still, the conditions that attract karmic creditors and spiritual obstacles begin to diminish. When you finally reach the stage of an awakened being, your heart will no longer be shaken. Because your true self is inherently stable, the circumstances that lead to the manifestation of karmic creditors and spiritual obstacles will simply cease to exist.

The Path of , Concentration, and Wisdom

Without meditative concentration, your practice cannot achieve success; without it, there is no progress to speak of. This is why the cultivation of meditative concentration is so vital. If you can develop the skill to keep your heart still and immovable while your body responds appropriately to the myriad changes of the world, you are one who has truly opened the door to Wisdom. This is the profound importance of the path of Precepts, Concentration and Wisdom. You must practise diligently and never neglect this essential work. Namo Amituofo.
