People often believe that seeing is believing. They place their trust in the information gathered by as they interact with of the external world. We rely on what our eyes see and what our ears hear, assuming these experiences represent the ultimate truth of our existence. However, this is a profound misunderstanding of reality.
In truth, every interaction between the Six Roots and the Six Dusts is governed by the laws of and cause and effect. When we rely only on our physical senses without understanding the deeper causes and consequences behind what we perceive, we remain trapped in a cycle of ignorance. Because we do not see the hidden origins of our experiences, we continue to create new , leading to a life of suffering that repeats endlessly within the cycle of rebirth.
The Ten Directions of the Realm, the worldly realm, and all beings of the six paths exist within the constant cycle of conditions arising and ceasing. Everything we encounter is a manifestation of these conditions: when the conditions arise, the phenomenon appears; when the conditions cease, the phenomenon vanishes. If we do not understand that these conditions are illusory and instead take the illusory as real, we inevitably invite suffering into our lives.
This is why the Saha World is known as the world of endurance. We are forced to endure constant suffering because we cling to the false belief that our sensory experiences are permanent and real. As long as we remain in this state of confusion, we cannot leave suffering behind, and the cycle of rebirth continues to press upon us, one life after another, without interruption.
To practise the Dharma effectively, one must understand the truth of reality. You must realise that everything your Six Roots perceive—every sight, every sound, and every sensation—is merely a phenomenon of conditions arising and ceasing. All karmic forces operate within this shifting landscape. Therefore, you must learn to not cling to what you see or hear. You must also learn to let go of this body and not be attached to its possessions.
When you are no longer pulled around by the force of karma—specifically the , , , and generated by the physical body—you can finally take charge of your life. If you can achieve this, you will leave suffering behind and align with seeing your true nature. This is the path to Awakening.
Your practice must involve constant and diligent purification. As you purify yourself, the inherent abilities of your Six Roots will begin to manifest. When these abilities are fully revealed, you will reach the time of Awakening and seeing your true nature. This is one of the Universal Principles, Truth, and the Right Path. It is not restricted by time or space, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas from the ten directions of the Dharma Realm follow this very path.
Purification is the most essential task; do not neglect it, lest you lose the great benefit of Awakening. At the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia—a place where truly abides—your daily practice of prostrating to Buddha, chanting Buddha's name, and reciting sutras is the very time for purifying your Six Roots.
Because Namo Amituofo is truly present, those who participate in these daily practices receive the Buddha's . It is also the moment when the Buddha's light guides all beings within into the light to leave suffering. Namo Amituofo.
