Sent to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss — Guo Ai-E (Wang Wu-Juan's mother-in-law)

Lay Practitioner Guo Ai-E:

Namo Amituofo. The Buddha-land before my eyes is extremely bright; compared to the daylight in the human world, it is far brighter here. Before me are Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, these two Buddhas. Practitioner Su is the Buddha who brought us to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, we are all very familiar with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas; there is not a hint of unfamiliarity.

At this moment, we remain deeply grateful, kneeling before the Buddha. Everyone sincerely entrusts themselves to the Buddha, hoping to continue diligent practice in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss to repay the Buddha's kindness and repay all beings. This is the shared thought of all of us who have arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

The reason it is shared is that the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is inherently a world of equality. This was already the case in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, but the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is even more equal, for here there is no distinction between male and female, no division between you and me, and everyone appears as dignified and auspicious as the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Take me, Guo Ai-E, for example. When I left the human world, I was sixty-six years old, a person full of the scent of old age, a woman. Yet, after arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I truly possess a dignified, pure, and youthful appearance. It was already quite good in the Dharma-Nature Land, but now I know that among the Forty-eight Great Vows made by Namo Amituofo, there is one called the "Vow to Transform Women into Men," which was made so that everyone might have a heart of equality and practise together. This is also an inherent quality of our true self. In our true self, there is no distinction between you and me; everyone is equal, and our spirits are consistent. Therefore, among the Forty-eight Great Vows made by Amituofo, it is decreed that all women, upon arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, instantly transform into men.

Haha, speaking of this, I cannot help but reflect on my journey to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. Although it was a bit bumpy and bitter, now that I have attained this most magnificent and beautiful home, I no longer have any afflictions or worries. In the past, I had also fallen into the hells to suffer due to my strong personality. Having tasted such bitterness over these years, I now know the preciousness of a human body, and even more so, how precious it is to be able to come to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Regarding personality and temperament, Practitioner Su analysed them for us one by one in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, teaching us the true Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and instructing us on how to adjust our hearts so that we do not have to suffer the torments of the hells. Many of my family members are actually just like me; although they know the principles should be followed, they always fail to do so. The result of this is that they will still walk the same path as I did. Therefore, I advise everyone to be careful; it is best to put in the work from the root.

To my family members and my daughter-in-law who registered me for the Chao Du Dharma assembly, how have you been lately? Are you willing to truly practise, reciting "Namo Amituofo" to the end, so that we may meet here together in the future?

The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is truly a big family; every person has Causal Conditions with every other person throughout their many lives. In fact, everyone is like this in the present moment. This is precisely why, when we maintain a heart of equality, we can see all people as we see ourselves, or see all people as our own parents; this is the key to truly attaining a heart of equality.

I now have only one thought echoing in my mind: "Namo Amituofo."

At this very moment, I am deeply grateful to be able to accept this interview from the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia. I must cherish this good opportunity. In the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, I will certainly tell myself that I must recite "Namo Amituofo" to the end, attain Buddhahood as soon as possible, and save my immeasurable and boundless sentient beings with karmic affinity as soon as possible. This is truly something that should be done as early as possible.
