Sent to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss — Shan Sheng-Xiang (Husband of Feng Mei-Ping)

Lay Practitioner Shan Sheng-Xiang:

Namo Amituofo. Today, I have truly "immigrated" to a new Buddha-land. From the Saha world, I have immigrated to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss—a Buddha-land that seems distant, yet is actually within reach.

My heart is filled with such gratitude and joy. This sense of peace and serenity is something I have never experienced before.

Although people always say that the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is 108,000 leagues away, or as the sutras say, ten trillion Buddha-lands away, when Practitioner Su guided us from the Western Land of Dharma Nature to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, it took less than a second to reach another space, and only then did I realise that I had truly arrived at the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.

When our lotus blossoms in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, we truly become a member of the beings of the Western Land. Although I have only been here for a few short hours, it is as if I have seen clearly many truths that I had never thought of before.

Because Namo Amituofo made the Forty-eight Great Vows, every being of the Western Land can know their past, present, and future. All the experiences throughout my many lives are clear at a glance before me, very distinct. I see that after I left the world, my physical body was gone, and I have no more entanglements with the world. This name "Shan Sheng-Xiang" was merely a name I had in the world and cannot represent my spirit.

However, in this long river of life, my spirit has truly walked too many different paths. I have been different people, had completely different encounters and karmic cycles, and have been to different places. Now I am deeply moved; the non-arising and non-ceasing nature of the spirit is the truth. However, if one wants the spirit to attain long-lasting peace and serenity without continuing to suffer in the six realms of rebirth, it can truly only be achieved by being reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss!

We are truly so fortunate. Especially for me, two months ago, I left the world due to illness. I did not suffer too much when I passed away, but because my spirit had not yet attained liberation at that time, I continued to suffer the pain of illness in that space. Not long after, I unexpectedly heard the call of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su.

At the same time as the Buddha’s light shone upon me, I was directly sent to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. This is a Buddha-land in the world, established by Practitioner Su, who has already become a Buddha. Under the great support of Namo Amituofo, the countless manifestations of Practitioner Su have already led many beings to the Western Land of Dharma Nature.

I have stayed in the Western Land of Dharma Nature and know how wonderful it is. But now, the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss before my eyes is even more extraordinarily wonderful!

The Buddha-land is so wonderful, and everything taught by the Buddhist education is so direct and clear. It is to let everyone truly learn to let go of themselves and follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, so that they do not have to continue to suffer.

People in the world may find it hard to understand all of this. But my family, you must diligently practise the Buddha’s teachings. I am very grateful that you registered for the Chao Du Dharma Assembly on my behalf.

My wife and children are still in the world. It is truly a wonderful thing that they can accept the Buddha’s teachings taught by the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, Namo Amituofo, and Practitioner Su. Regardless of one's spiritual capacity, and regardless of whether one has a strong yearning to practise the Buddha’s teachings, everyone must follow the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. You must tell yourselves that only by truly following the Buddha can you leave suffering and gain happiness. Do not be obsessed with everything in the present world.

Life seems long, but in the blink of an eye, it passes. At this moment, the best way to cherish life is to "practise the Buddha’s teachings." Only by truly mastering everything the Buddha teaches can one attain ultimate perfection. I have simply explained my situation to everyone, and I also hope that my wife and children can be at ease. I am now living a spiritual life, and my spirit has been greatly elevated, completely different from before; I no longer need to be limited by this physical body.
