The Essence of Sincere

Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju offers these profound teachings, recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe, on the twenty-ninth of March, 2026.

When we speak of Sincere Prostration, we are referring to a state of devotion that has reached the ultimate point of sincerity and earnestness. It is a state where the heart is completely free from messy thoughts, delusions, and doubts. To perform this act correctly, one must approach the Buddha and Bodhisattvas with a heart of true faith, absolute purity, and profound respect, bowing down until the five limbs touch the ground in total surrender.

The Infinite of Namo Amituofo

Namo Amituofo has established the of Ultimate Bliss through the power of the Forty-eight Great Vows. This magnificent realm was created for a singular, compassionate purpose:

  • To save countless suffering beings from the cycle of reincarnation.
  • To provide a sanctuary where every spirit can find a true home.
  • To offer an environment of perfect peace and , free from all worries, where one can focus entirely on the path to Buddhahood.

Such magnificent merit and compassionate vow-power are beyond measure. In this age of the ’s decline, those of us who carry the heavy burden of past should truly understand the necessity of offering Sincere Prostration to Namo Amituofo.

Steadfast Faith in a Turbid World

You must hold your faith firmly and ensure that it remains unshaken by any external disturbances. It is vital that you understand the rarity of your current situation. In this Five Turbidities and Evil World, the opportunity to encounter the great Dharma of the Pure Land and the name of Namo Amituofo is truly magnificent and difficult to come by.

Do not hesitate or waver in your practice. If you allow yourself to be caught in the trap of hesitation, you lose the sincerity, honesty, and respect required for this path. To waver is to lose the greatest benefit of all. Remember that Namo Amituofo does not ask for any reward for the salvation offered to sentient beings. All beings in the worldly realm and the ten directions of the Dharma realm are invited to follow these vows, travel to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and dedicate themselves to the path of Buddhahood.

The Light of Salvation at Hsiang Kuang

Every achievement of Namo Amituofo, and every single one of the Forty-eight Great Vows, exists solely to save countless suffering beings. Therefore, we should all perform Sincere Prostration and chant the name of Namo Amituofo with a single, focused heart.

Today, Namo Amituofo is truly present in this world, abiding at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. The ray of hope for salvation has already appeared. You now have the precious opportunity to leave behind the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death, and to secure your rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, finally breaking free from the cycle of reincarnation.

This call to practice is not limited to the fourfold assembly of disciples at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre. It extends to all sentient beings in the ten directions and the Dharma realms. We must all offer Sincere Prostration to Namo Amituofo, which is also an act of bowing to the Buddha nature within you—the true self that resides in every living being.

Namo Amituofo.
