Seeing the Peril of China, They Descend to Save the World
The human heart often drifts through this world like a boat without a rudder, lost and unaware of its true destination. In this fleeting life, even if one possesses vast wealth, high status, or great intelligence, one must realise that time is limited. Eventually, the lifespan of every individual will reach its inevitable end. When that moment arrives, all the riches and worldly accomplishments you have gathered must be left behind in this world. Not even a single thread of your worldly possessions can be taken with you into the next life.
You must understand that this human body is a precious vessel, provided to you primarily for the purpose of settling the debts you have accumulated through the laws of karma and cause and effect. Have you ever paused to calculate how many karmic debts you still owe? If you look deeply into your past, you will find that there are still countless debts that remain unpaid. If you fail to resolve these obligations in this lifetime, you will be forced to continue your journey through the six realms of rebirth. You may find yourself falling into the lower realms, taking the form of an ox, a horse, a pig, or a sheep, simply to repay the debts you have failed to settle while you had the chance.
The path of samsara is vast and filled with uncertainty. If you are lost in this life, how can you be certain that your next life will be any different? Your future depends entirely on the seeds you have sown and the verdict delivered by the laws of karma. However, if you choose to study the Buddha's teachings, you will know the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and you will know exactly where your heart is going. You will no longer feel helpless or wander in confusion. Instead, you will be able to engage in diligent practice with a sense of purpose. Your face will no longer be clouded with worry, but will instead shine with the warmth of a smile as you greet others. Your heart will no longer be aimless, for you will have a clear and singular goal: rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
When you cultivate a courageous heart and chant the name of with single-minded focus, you are seeking the ultimate refuge. Your spirit never dies, and by the grace of the Buddha, you will be led to the Western Pure Land. If sickness or suffering manifests in your life, do not despair. This is the time for true repentance. You must change your ways, resolve your conflicts with all beings, and perform to help those you have harmed find peace. Do not leave these matters for the next life, for if you do, you will only find yourself entangled in further karmic cycles, trapped in the suffering of birth, aging, sickness, and death. You must cherish this present moment. Through the teachings at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, you can resolve these grievances, alleviate this suffering, and help all beings reach the Western Pure Land, achieving ultimate liberation.
