Regardless of your physical location or the tasks that occupy your days, it is essential that you recognise the truth of your existence. Life is fleeting and finite. You must dedicate your time to the benefit of all beings, rather than letting the precious moments slip away like water through your fingers. If you are a practitioner on the Pure Land path, you must understand the reality of your situation.

It is a rare and profound blessing to be able to enter the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. In the vastness of the Dharma Realm, our Earth is but one of countless planets. Yet, we are uniquely fortunate because Namo Amituofo truly abides here. You must recognise that this is no ordinary occurrence; it is a manifestation of immense karmic affinity.

The Role of the Practitioner

This presence is made possible because the Faith, Vows, and Practice of Practitioner Su are in perfect sync with Namo Amituofo. He acts as the Buddha’s practitioner in the human world. Awakening is a profound challenge. To save beings, one must possess a physical form. This Body of Awakening is incredibly precious, for it serves as a vessel for the Buddha's compassion.

Under the Buddha's blessings, Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body performs Chao Du for infinite suffering beings and has subdued countless demon crowds. Through his work, he is able to:

• Spread the Pure Land teachings throughout the world.
• Demonstrate the path to liberation for all who seek it.
• Help Pure Land practitioners find true peace and happiness in this very life.
• Ensure that the spirit never dies, leading to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

This is the heartfelt wish of every practitioner and every person who chants the name of Namo Amituofo. However, this wish must be supported by diligent practice if you are to have any chance of achieving it.

The Direct Path in the Age of Decline

In this age of the Dharma’s decline, the Pure Land Dharma Gate is the most direct and convenient path to achievement. The fourfold assembly of disciples—monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen—each practises according to their own vows. Whether you are a monastic or a lay practitioner, please recognise the truth: it is not easy to encounter the Pure Land teachings. You have the opportunity to leave the cycle of rebirth behind, be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and attain Buddhahood. You must actively seize this opportunity.
