On September 27, 2020, Practitioner Su, who resides at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, travelled to the depths of the Western Sea to meet with the Dragon King. This encounter was sought to address the urgent need for rain and to request the Dragon King’s guidance on the conditions required for such a phenomenon to occur. The following account details the wisdom shared by the Dragon King during this profound meeting.

The Dragon King of the Western Sea speaks:

"Such magnificent Buddha-light! Practitioner Su, you have graced the Dragon Palace with your presence. The entire ocean floor is blooming with radiance as my shrimp soldiers and crab generals stand in formation to welcome you. Regarding the matter of praying for rain, it is only through true Goodness and virtuous actions that such a thing can be facilitated. The rain and dew are themselves manifestations of light; they, too, yearn to descend upon the earth so that all may share in the of the Buddha’s teachings."

The Unity of the Four Seas

"The Causal Conditions for rain require the four Dragon Kings of the seas to work in unison. When the sea and the sky become one, and the earth moves in harmony with them, only then can all beings share in this ultimate joy. I am deeply grateful to Practitioner Su for descending to the depths of the ocean to perform . Your is truly boundless, and your is vast beyond measure."

A Vast Deliverance

Note: Practitioner Su’s Body travelled to the waters of the Western Sea to perform Chao Du for an immeasurable number of marine creatures and spirits dwelling on the ocean floor. Memorial tablets were inscribed for their deliverance, and they have been guided into the at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre.
