The Unseen Tears of the World
My dear children, can you truly perceive the profound suffering that permeates the lives of all beings? Suffering is not a singular experience; it manifests in countless ways throughout the cycle of being reincarnated. Some beings cry out to the heavens in their despair, while others keep their pain locked silently within their hearts. Some carry their burdens heavily, while others wear their sorrow plainly upon their faces. For many, suffering is etched into the very structure of their physical forms: it appears in a hunched back, a bent waist, or the slow, painful decline of old age. Others struggle under the crushing weight of chronic illness, or the combined misery of poverty and sickness. These are but a few of the endless forms of suffering that exist in this world.
The Imprints of Forgotten Agonies
You, my children, have all experienced these various forms of suffering throughout your long journey in the cycle of being reincarnated. You have lived through these agonies, yet you have forgotten them. They are no longer in your conscious memory, but they remain deeply imprinted within your heart and your . You cannot bear to touch or revisit these memories, for if you were to do so, the sheer weight of the suffering of all beings would come crashing down upon you like a tidal wave. When the of your past lives appear before you, demanding balance for old debts, how could you possibly endure such a trial? When you witness so many beings suffering, and when you see the karmic creditors manifesting before you during your own times of illness, you must realise that these beings are also trapped in the same ocean of suffering.
The Mirror of Universal Connection
If you can engage in diligent practice and reach an awakened being state, you will realise that saving others from suffering is, in truth, saving yourself. The suffering of all beings is, in essence, the suffering you have endured yourself. If the suffering of others is resolved, your own suffering will also be alleviated. This is the power of the universal law of correspondence and reaction. Every action you take creates a corresponding reaction that returns to you. If you act with goodness, it returns to you; if you act with negativity, that too returns to you. To truly progress, you must learn to think well, act well, and see well, all while letting go of and your own subjective viewpoints.
The Sacred Path to Liberation
To walk this path, you must embrace the fundamental methods of purification within the school: chanting Namo Amituofo, performing prostrations, and reciting the Sutras. By following these practices, you will naturally become more gentle and compliant, and your spirits will be elevated. You must remain in a state of constant, alert awareness. Let your ultimate vow be to seek rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Through the practice of chanting Namo Amituofo for , and engaging in spiritual deliverance, you take concrete action to save yourself and all beings, helping everyone leave suffering behind and find the eternal happiness of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
