The Sacred Act of Inviting Spirits
To the fourfold assembly of disciples at Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre, you have all experienced the process of inviting spirits. You have personally felt the profound difference in your state of being before and after this sacred act. Before the resolution, you may have been burdened by various forms of suffering: physical illnesses that seem to have no medical cause, deep-seated mental anguish or confusion that clouds your clarity, or a sense of heaviness and spiritual obstacles that prevent you from practising with a peaceful heart.
Once the , attached spirits, or demon crowds are invited out and guided toward the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, these burdens are suddenly lifted. The physical pain dissipates, the mental fog clears, and you feel a profound sense of relief, as if you have finally been rescued from a long and arduous struggle.
The Root of Spiritual Obstacles
Why is there such a significant difference between your state before and after this process? It is because the resentment and hatred held by these spirits are often stronger than your own righteous thoughts, righteous heart, and righteous actions. When your own righteous energy becomes weak, it creates an opening for these spirits to manifest. They bring forth the karmic results that are due to them according to the laws of and cause and effect. This is what we call spiritual obstacles manifesting. In , this manifests as the suffering of old age and illness; in the heart, it manifests as the various miseries of depression and anxiety.
The Radiance of Buddha-Light and the
When the Buddha-light of Namo Amituofo shines upon these beings, it helps to soften their rigid, hateful hearts. When Practitioner Su uses his Body to assist these beings, he helps them return to the state they were in before they were harmed. By fulfilling their wishes and helping them find peace, they are willing to be invited out of the body. They are then guided into the Dharma-Nature Land to receive , which allows them to resolve the suffering of their body, mind, and spirit. This is how Namo Amituofo helps to resolve the conflicts of karmic grievances and the painful results of past causes.
A Rare Opportunity in the Dharma-Ending Age
This situation, where such resolutions occur so frequently, has truly not happened often in the past. It is because, in this Dharma-ending age, beings are suffering far too much. Therefore, Namo Amituofo manifests his , and together with the Dharma Body of Practitioner Su, they work in this human world to save the world and rescue beings. This is a rare and precious opportunity that is difficult to encounter! You are all living in the midst of this time. You must cherish this period to realise your true nature and attain Buddhahood.
