Lay Practitioner Zheng Zhiqi speaks:
". I am Zheng Zhiqi. I am so incredibly grateful to this living Buddha, Practitioner Su, for saving me. An old man like me, who never knew the Buddha, has actually arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss! Think about it—in all of mainland China, you could never find a place as beautiful as this. This is the world of the Buddha himself. I am kneeling before the Buddha alongside everyone else, offering my deepest gratitude. My heart is so moved, so profoundly thankful. Everyone here feels the same; it is a so immense that I simply cannot find the words to describe it.
Throughout my life, I never chanted the Buddha's name, nor did I have any understanding of the . When I died, naturally, there was no Buddha there to save me. But I must have had some hidden , because even after all this time, I was still able to be saved. I owe everything to my daughter and my granddaughter. Thank you for remembering us two old folks. My wife and I had been separated for so long; even as spirits, we could not find one another. I did not know where she was, and I did not even know where I was myself. Every day felt exactly the same, a blur of nothingness. I had no concept of how much time had passed.
The day Practitioner Su saved me, I saw a massive, brilliant golden light. She called out my name. Her accent was different from ours, but the moment my spirit heard it, I reacted instantly. I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that she was calling for me. I wanted to move faster, but I could not. Suddenly, I was just pulled—drawn directly into the Western Land of Dharma Nature where Practitioner Su resides. I had never experienced anything like it. Looking back on it now, Practitioner Su is truly, truly powerful.
After I sat upon my lotus seat, within seconds, countless other spirits were saved and brought up. I saw it with my own eyes: for every spirit that arrived, a new lotus flower blossomed. Every single spirit had their own lotus seat to sit upon. It is truly inconceivable!
Every day, as I am purified by the Buddha-light, my spirit becomes clearer and clearer. Only now do I realise that although I did not have the karmic affinity to study the Buddha's teachings in this life, I must have studied them in a past life, and with great sincerity. It must be because of those past Causal Conditions that I could be delivered by my daughter and granddaughter, allowing Practitioner Su to save my spirit and bring me here to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss.
Now, I do not worry about anything at all. My mind is pure, my heart is at ease, and there is nothing inside me but Namo Amituofo. I am constantly chanting the Buddha's name, and I am always smiling. I am so happy—I have never been this happy in my entire life. Thank you, thank you, Practitioner Su, and thank you to everyone.
Namo Amituofo. Zheng Zhiqi bows in reverence."
