Wang Ruisen speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Greetings to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. I am Wang Ruisen. I am now a member of the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, and my existence is vastly different from what it once was.
I have only been here for a few hours, yet I have already discovered that my appearance has changed so dramatically. I now possess the dignified form of a young man, much like all the other beings here. We are all like Buddhas. The Western Land of Ultimate Bliss is a realm of true equality; everyone shares this same dignified appearance without any discrimination. It is truly breathtaking!
A Revelation of
I am filled with deep reverence. I never realised that after becoming a Buddha, one could accomplish so much—including the creation of a world like this, where all beings have a place to go. This was something I, Wang Ruisen, had no knowledge of before. I have been gone from the human world for a long time—half a century, to be exact.
To think that among my own family, there are those who know of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Australia, and that they had the opportunity to register me for Chao Du. I am so grateful to my nephew, Wang Huizhong. Thank you for your heartfelt dedication in performing this deliverance for us elders. Everyone here is filled with , knowing that the only true path is to follow the Buddha.
The Burden of Past Arrogance
This extraordinary experience has left me feeling immense gratitude. I am thankful for the compassion of Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, whose awakened being has made it possible to save beings like us. To be honest, I have almost forgotten the details of my life as a human.
When I first arrived at the Western Land of Nature, I was truly carrying the 'scent of a dog' with me. It was only after purification that I was able to recover my true human form. It is true—after I died, I became a dog. Fortunately, I still had some residual merit from encountering the Buddha in the past. Even though I was a dog, I was a pet who was fed and cared for; I was not a stray dog suffering through wind and rain, nor was I subjected to abuse. I was already very fortunate.
The Reality of the Main Spirit
That was simply the reality of the world at that time. Although I was a dog, I was merely a spirit residing within that canine body. There are countless beings within of a dog, and I was the 'Main Spirit'—the one who controlled all the actions and behaviours of that animal.
That is just how it was. It was the evil consequence of the stubborn habits I held during my life. I used to be filled with arrogance, always believing that my own ideas were correct, and I could not help but look down upon the of others. These things accumulated over time, becoming layers of that forced me to spend my afterlife as a dog to repay those debts. Of course, I was not a dog for only one lifetime; one must consider that the lifespan of a dog is quite short.
From Hell to the Dharma-Nature Land
After I died, I actually spent a short period suffering in the hells. Once I had paid off those specific debts, the King of Hell sentenced me to continue repaying the remainder of my karmic debt as a dog. It is truly terrifying to think about what it means to be human. If one does not truly learn the great Dharma of Namo Amituofo during one's life, one is likely living in a state of karmic debt without even knowing it. I am a perfect example of this: I lived a life of debt, went to hell to pay for it, and then spent time in the animal realm as a dog.
When Practitioner Su’s golden light reached out to pull me up, I was indeed still inside the body of that dog. But in an instant, I left that form and arrived in the world of light—the Western Land of Dharma Nature. I felt as though I could still see the eyes of that dog looking at me, as if saying goodbye. Perhaps my karmic connection to being a dog had finally reached its end. Leaving that body behind and arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I was finally able to practise the Dharma in the light.
The Path to
The most important thing was to listen to sutras and hear the Dharma; this is something Practitioner Su emphasises repeatedly. Because of my ignorance, I knew nothing. Arriving here in such a confused state, how could I have possibly attained rebirth in the Western Pure Land? So, while in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I slowly came to understand what a Buddha is, who Namo Amituofo is, and what the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss truly represents. After understanding these truths, I felt both deep regret and immense gratitude. I finally realised that there is a path for humans to take—a path to rebirth in the Western Pure Land where one no longer has to suffer. I became very diligent in my practice, chanting Namo Amituofo and making prostrations, washing away the layers of filth from my past, and waiting for the day I could be reborn in the West.
In closing, I want to express my gratitude to my family once more. I hope that my family members still in the human world will hear these words and truly realise how precious a human body is, and that the spirit is truly unborn and undying.
My spirit has been a human, a being in hell, and a dog. I know now how painful and exhausting those decades of wandering were. I take this opportunity to warn everyone: do not hold onto stubborn emotional entanglements. Even if you think you are right, you must remain humble and modest. If you look back and realise your thoughts were not in accordance with the Dharma, do not insist on your own opinions.
Following the Buddha is the best path. Before one becomes an awakened being, most of what one thinks is biased; and because those thoughts are biased, one will naturally suffer evil consequences. I understand this very clearly now, and I hope to share this with all of you.
Thank you all. Thank you, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su.
Namo Amituofo.
Wang Ruisen"
