The Difficulty of Repaying the Buddha's Grace

How can one ever fully repay the boundless grace of the Buddha? It is a debt of gratitude that spans beyond measure. Because we have the Buddha and our true spiritual friends to guide us, we are finally able to emerge from the cycle of rebirth that has held us captive for countless aeons. Without their compassionate intervention, we would remain lost in the darkness of the six realms of existence.

The Light of Awakening

It is through the leadership of the Buddha and our virtuous teachers that the thick clouds of our ignorance are finally dispersed. When the cover of our confusion is removed, our true self is revealed in all its brilliance. We owe so much to the Buddha and the ancestral masters who have come before us. They have compassionately descended into this world to manifest the path to Buddhahood. Through their lectures, they have helped us break through our delusions and attain enlightenment, providing us with a clear path to follow so that we, too, may achieve the ultimate goal of Buddhahood.

The Refuge of the Western Pure Land

We are further blessed because Namo Amituofo has established the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Through His Forty-eight Great Vows, He reaches out to receive all beings, ensuring that those in the Dharma Realm who suffer without hope are finally saved. By His grace, we are able to leave the ocean of karmic suffering behind and, through the practice of chanting Namo Amituofo, secure our rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Namo Amituofo and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas possess immense compassion, profound Wisdom, and great supernatural power. They use both kindness and authority to pacify our karmic creditors and resolve the chaos caused by the demons of our own making.

A Call to the Students of Hsiang Kuang

To the students of Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, please know this: Namo Amituofo, your teachers, and Practitioner Su are always by your side, guarding and instructing you. Because you have the teachings of the Buddha and the Sutra of Immeasurable Life—which I have personally compiled—you hold the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way in your hands. You must be fiercely diligent in your practice and accept these teachings with complete faith.

• Maintain your practice: Keep the sacred name of Namo Amituofo in your heart and on your lips 24/7.
• Serve others: Dedicate your life to helping and supporting all beings.
• Resolve karmic debts: With the assistance of your teachers and Practitioner Su, engage in Chao Du to resolve the karmic grievances of your past lives.
• Seek purification: Use these methods to purify your body, mind, and spirit, so that you may rediscover your true self as soon as possible.

By doing so, you will join the Buddhas in the work of saving the world and delivering all beings. This is the only way to truly repay the supreme grace of the Buddha.
