The 's Compassionate Vow

A Bodhisattva aspires to attain the Buddha's path while simultaneously working to transform and save all sentient beings. Because they understand the profound suffering of these beings, and because they recognise themselves as one among them, they strive to alleviate that suffering. In doing so, they find that their own suffering is also resolved. This is the fundamental principle of the laws of and cause and effect, where the magnetic field of goodness and evil determines the fruits we reap.

The Pervasive Nature of Samsara

The mission to save sentient beings is truly endless. Sentient beings are infinite, and they exist everywhere throughout the vastness of the Realm and empty space. The cycle of rebirth is not confined to this world alone; it exists throughout the entire Dharma Realm. Although the forms and environments may differ, the underlying principle of reincarnation remains the same. Everything is driven by the force of karma and cause and effect. Our meetings, our gatherings, and our eventual partings are all conducted within the framework of these .

Sentient beings trapped within the six realms of rebirth fail to recognise the true face of this cycle, and thus they suffer endlessly. Because this suffering has no end, the work of saving these beings must also have no end. This mission transcends the limitations of time and space. Wherever there are beings, wherever there is suffering, that is where the Bodhisattva must go.

from the Dream of Suffering

Sentient beings are deeply entangled with their own suffering, finding it difficult to break free because they do not understand the true nature of that suffering. Throughout their many lives, they have followed this path, eventually mistaking their suffering for the natural state of existence. Birth, aging, sickness, and death, along with all other forms of misery, are visible everywhere and at all times. We ourselves are currently within this cycle. When will we finally awaken from this dream?

The moment you truly awaken is the moment you begin to leave suffering behind and find happiness. If you are fortunate enough to hear the truth, you must cut off the roots of your karma so that they do not grow again. Even if you encounter these teachings but feel no immediate connection—if your heart and mind do not yet resonate with the truth—you must continue to practise. Persistence is the key to eventually leaving suffering behind and finding happiness.

The Essential Conditions for a Practitioner

A practitioner who wishes to save others must first possess the necessary conditions to ensure they are not pulled back into the cycle of rebirth by the very beings they seek to help. These conditions are essential for maintaining one's own stability and wisdom:

  • Diligent Purification: You must work hard to purify your body, mind, and spirit, which allows the innate abilities of your Six Roots to be revealed.
  • The Three Learnings: You must diligently practise the Three Learnings of , Samadhi, and Wisdom, which form the foundation of all spiritual progress.
  • The Six Perfections: You must embody the Six Perfections of the Bodhisattva in your daily life.
  • Practice: Your practice of chanting Namo Amituofo is the fundamental requirement. You must lead by example, practising with diligence so that you can effectively teach others to chant and inspire them to make the vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
  • Spiritual Deliverance: You must develop the ability to resolve karmic conflicts and perform for those in need.

The Path of Practical Deliverance

The mission to save sentient beings is truly without end. Body-Mind-Spirit healing is a practical and effective way to save beings in this modern age. By widely guiding all those with karmic affinity to enter the Pure Land, to hear the name of Namo Amituofo, and to make the vow to enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, you are performing the dual act of saving yourself while simultaneously saving others. This is the ultimate path to rebirth in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
