The Frozen Spirits of Three Millennia
An Interview with Venerable Chang Gao
Recorded on June 7, 2023
This is a record of an interview with Venerable Chang Gao, who shares insights from witnessing the spiritual deliverance performed by Practitioner Su at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. Recorded by the chief writer, Shi Fajing, on June 7, 2023.
Venerable Chang Gao speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. If only the physical eyes of human beings could truly witness the deliverance performed by the of Practitioner Su, they would surely experience a profound . Perhaps then, they would finally be able to clear their hearts and cease their relentless attachment to this fleeting physical body.
Today, as Practitioner Su’s Body performed the work of , it opened up a vast number of dimensions. Within these many spaces, one finds all manner of sentient beings. Before Practitioner Su helped them open these spaces, these beings were entirely unaware of what era it is in the human world. They remained trapped within their original, isolated realms, enduring endless suffering.
The Unseen Realms of Suffering
I would like to share a particular space that I witnessed today. This occurred as Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body entered into the heart of an ice mountain to perform deliverance. Practitioner Su has entered these frozen mountains many times to save sentient beings. These spirits trapped within the ice are not merely the animals one might expect to find in such environments; there are countless other spirits imprisoned there, locked away with no hope of ever finding a way out.
As Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body arrived, it radiated a brilliant golden light, causing the ice mountains to dissolve rapidly. With the mere utterance of the sacred Buddha-name, 'Namo Amituofo,' the spaces within the ice were completely opened. At that moment, I saw numerous dimensions layered with heavy, complex talismans. These magical seals had kept many sentient beings locked away, preventing them from ever escaping their confinement.
Breaking the Seals of Three Millennia
When Practitioner Su utilised the power of the Buddha-name to open these spaces, the talismans were shattered one by one, dissolving rapidly. The trapped sentient beings were stunned to suddenly behold the Buddha-light. For many of them, this was the first time in over three thousand years that they had seen light. Their frozen souls, long hardened by the cold of their imprisonment, finally had the opportunity to be warmed and thawed by the compassionate Buddha-light.
The number of these sentient beings was truly immense. They were all spirits who had fallen victim to ancient magic and sorcery. Practitioner Su did not merely rescue the spirits trapped within; even the very dimensions where these intense magical battles had taken place were restored to their original state the moment the Buddha-light shone upon them. Every aspect of those realms, including all the heaven and earth and the myriad things caught in the crossfire, were liberated from their suffering.
The Cycle of
The ignorance of humanity has, in a single moment of folly, created such heavy karmic retribution. While these spirits were suffering, those who had inflicted such harm upon them are also still suffering somewhere in the cycle of rebirth, though we do not know where they are currently receiving their karmic consequences. Deluded humans engage in mutual slaughter, yet now, the Buddha has come. Through the deliverance of Practitioner Su’s Dharma Body, all these spaces are being unlocked one by one, allowing these sentient beings to finally depart from their prisons.
I follow Practitioner Su daily to learn and practise. Every time I witness such a deliverance, I gain a deeper realisation. I am humbled and deeply moved, yet I also lament that my own is not yet sufficient. I will continue to learn from Practitioner Su with a sincere heart.
Namo Amituofo.
