The Two Pillars of Spiritual Practice
Purity and goodness are the two great directions for your practice. Every minute, every second, and at every moment, you must look within and reflect upon your own mind. You must ask yourself: are there any thoughts, words, or actions that are improper, impure, or lacking in goodness? If you find such faults, you must immediately change your ways and correct them. If you find that your mind is clear, you must encourage yourself to remain vigilant and ensure that you do not commit such errors in the future.
This is the attitude and the strength of implementation that every practitioner must possess. Only through this constant, diligent practice can you truly speak of making progress on the path to liberation. If you allow yourself to know of a fault and yet continue to repeat it, or if you are aware of an impurity and allow yourself to become stained by it again, or if you recognise an evil act and continue to commit it, how can you possibly avoid the bitter fruits of such ? How can your practice ever advance? Under such conditions, the goal of rediscovering your true self-nature will remain a distant and unreachable dream.
The Power of Vows and Guidance
My child, when you engage in practice, you must have firm vows. Only when you have established these vows will you possess the strength to move forward. As you follow your vows along the path, you will inevitably encounter difficulties and moments of confusion. However, At Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, you are truly blessed.
You have the guidance of Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, who serve as your mentors. They are here to help you resolve your doubts, alleviate your burdens, and provide the support you need to continue your journey. This is a rare and precious opportunity that is difficult to encounter in many lifetimes. You must cherish this environment, and you must make good use of the guidance provided to you.
The Ultimate Achievement of
Once you have attained the state of an awakened being, you will finally possess the true ability to save the world and rescue all suffering beings. Only then will you be able to guide others without being pulled away by the confusion of the mundane world. This is the greatest achievement of your entire life.
Everything that is pure and everything that is good is already inherently present within your own true self-nature. Awakening is simply the fruit of this purity and goodness. You must be fiercely diligent in your practice, for the most important task of your life is to rediscover your true self-nature as soon as possible.
