A Sanctuary for the Spirit

The temple is a sacred space where the Three Jewels—the Buddha, the Teachings, and the Sangha Community—reside. It serves as a vital centre for Buddhist education, a place where the is preserved and passed down through generations. It is here that people find a true home for their body, mind, and spirit. By following the teachings step by step, one can live a life that is free from aging, free from illness, and your spirit never dies.

To achieve this profound goal, individual effort and diligent practice are essential. However, they are not enough on their own. We must also cultivate a strong sense of team spirit within the fourfold assembly of disciples. Whether you are performing manual tasks around the temple or fulfilling your specific duties, you must perform them with your full heart and dedication. When we work together, setting aside our personal preferences and ego, we can collectively fulfil our purpose: to save all beings, to preserve the Dharma, and to spread the teachings of the Buddha.

The Journey of

In the process of seeking the Dharma and striving for Awakening, one must engage in sincere repentance. Only through true, heartfelt repentance can you resolve the conflicts with your and allow them to receive . This journey is a rigorous test of a practitioner's , wisdom, and adherence to the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way.

Once you have attained a deep understanding of these principles and put them into practice, you will eventually reach the state of Awakening. After you have realised your true nature, you will live a life that is clear, luminous, and calm. You will be able to act with complete autonomy, ensuring that your daily life does not hinder your ability to spread the Dharma and save suffering beings.

The Eternal Vow of Namo Amituofo

My children, you must cherish this precious time. You have the opportunity to save yourselves, to save other beings, and to save the world. This is critical because you are currently facing countless lives that are suffering in endless, boundless cycles of pain. Long ago, when I was still a Bhikshu, I made a vow to build the of Ultimate Bliss. I created this spiritual realm as a place where all virtuous beings could gather together.

Within the environment of the Western Pure Land, which is defined by Infinite Life and Infinite Light, I made the vow to save the world and all beings. I vowed to attain Buddhahood and, in the form of the Tathagata of Wondrous Sound, travel to the Ten Directions of the Dharma Realm to propagate the great Dharma of the Pure Land. My mission is to lead all those with karmic affinity to chant the name of Namo Amituofo and be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

Our Shared Mission

Today, at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, where Namo Amituofo truly abides, Practitioner Su leads all disciples in their practice. Our shared goal is to attain Awakening and lead all beings to be reborn in the Western Pure Land. Practitioner Su leads by example, using his pure to perform Chao Du. Together with Namo Amituofo, he works to guide the infinite beings of the Ten Directions into the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss or into the realms of humans and heavenly beings.

The fourfold assembly of disciples must continue to practise diligently. Within this salvation team, you must foster a spirit of unity. Together with Namo Amituofo, Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and Practitioner Su, you must work to spread the Pure Land teachings, resolve the suffering of all beings, and chant Namo Amituofo with the firm vow to enter the Western Pure Land. Namo Amituofo.
