The Boundless Nature of the Buddha-Heart

My dear children, the capacity of the heart is boundless. It can always be expanded further, just as the horizon is infinite and can always reach further into the distance. This boundless, infinite quality is the very essence of the Buddha-heart. When your thoughts, words, and actions are in perfect alignment with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, you are not far from this state. To become an awakened being is to embody this very heart.

Healing the Scars of Accumulated Lifetimes

My dear children, if you find that you are carrying a heart that has been scarred and wounded throughout your accumulated lifetimes, you must seek the nourishment of the Buddha’s grace. You require the cleansing waters of the , the healing power of the Buddha’s teachings, and the constant protection of chanting the Buddha-name. If you find that you are still susceptible to being hurt, it is a clear indication that you are still clinging to the concept of a separate self. This means that you still have shortcomings that require your attention. You must engage in deep self-reflection, face your faults directly, and sincerely change your ways. If you do not, you will inevitably continue to be wounded by the world around you.

Within the cycle of being reincarnated, because you possess a heart that clings to , you are constantly trapped in a repetitive process of being wounded and seeking repair. This cycle of suffering and temporary healing will continue indefinitely unless you reach a moment of profound . You must realise that only by attaining the state of no-mind can you truly be beyond the reach of harm, and thus, you will no longer require any healing at all.

The Liberation of No-Mind

Because you attain the state of no-mind, your heart becomes vast enough to encompass everything. No matter what circumstances arise, you will be able to face them directly, shoulder the responsibility, and act with clarity. You will no longer need to let your mind wander through endless cycles of complex thoughts, emotional attachments, and . By avoiding these mental traps, you will not attract to manifest. You will no longer walk the old, weary path of reincarnation, and only then will you be able to walk the true path toward the Western Land.

The Dangers of Arrogance and Ego

My dear children, you must put aside the attitudes that hinder your progress. You must let go of:

  • Arrogance: The belief that you are superior to others.
  • Rigidity: The stubbornness that prevents you from learning and growing.
  • The Leader Mentality: The desire to control or be seen as better than your peers.

Before you have reached the state of an awakened being and have the strength to soar, do not be tempted to jump from great heights. Often, this desire to prove yourself before you are ready only leads to severe injury or even spiritual danger. You must be patient and diligent in your practice.

Cultivating Harmony and Rejoicing in Others

The path of practice is not a battlefield where you must argue until the very end. It is far better to take a step back, for in doing so, you ensure peace for everyone. To suffer a loss is, in truth, to gain a great advantage. If you insist on fighting, you will only attract the manifestation of karma, and the suffering of old age, sickness, and death will follow. The one who suffers most in the end is yourself.

Instead, learn to appreciate the unique talents of others. Everyone has worked hard in their own way to develop their strengths. When you see someone with exceptional abilities, you should:

  • Rejoice in their success and offer sincere praise.
  • Cultivate the mindset that when others do well, everyone benefits.
  • Handle the situation with a calm and open heart, letting things unfold naturally.

Do not allow yourself to fall into the traps of jealousy or constant comparison. Such negative states only add karma upon karma and will ultimately cause harm to both yourself and others. Namo Amituofo.
