The Holy Soul of the Middle East: A Demon's Confession
An Interview with the Spirit Mo Guangyao (Shi Zhengzhi)
Recorded at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, September 1, 2021

Venerable HaiZe speaks:
This is a record of an interview with the spirit Mo Guangyao, who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Nature. This account reflects upon his past as a warrior and his subsequent existence as a spirit. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on September 1, 2021.
Mo Guangyao (Shi Zhengzhi) speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Since being subdued by Practitioner Su this morning and brought into the Western Land of Dharma Nature, and hearing that Practitioner Su wished to conduct an interview, I have been waiting for you. For the people of this world, events like the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers, the war in Iraq, and the exploitation of Middle Eastern oil fields are filled with the scent of fire and death. But for us, death has long since lost its meaning. That is why we are capable of committing such 'crazy' acts—acts that terrify people because they are performed by those who no longer fear death. Under the training of our secret organizations in the Middle East, the word 'death' is considered sacred and inviolable. To die for a holy war is a glorious thing. This 'holy war' is our response to any foreign enemy that violates us; we fight to defend our land and our dignity, and we will exhaust every effort and pay any price to achieve this. To us, the most important thing is that life ends meaningfully. As for how we die or why we die, we are informed of that before we take action. From an outsider's perspective, if our leadership deems it necessary, we strike with all our might—it is either you or me. That is why people fear us."
The Curiosity of the Demon Realm
"The reason we came to the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre to investigate is that on our 'death list,' this Centre was excluded. This is extremely rare. Usually, our target lists clearly specify who is to be attacked, but never before has there been a target so clearly marked 'do not attack.' This aroused our immense curiosity. We knew it was related to this current wave of the pandemic. After the order was given, and because it concerned our ongoing operations to guard the pandemic's progress, we came to see if this place would join the human efforts to stop the virus. If they were to intervene, we would not know how much chance of success we had left, so we came to scout. We never expected that before we could even finish our investigation, we would be subdued and brought to the Western Land of Dharma Nature. Now, we cannot go anywhere."
"We are the 'Holy Souls' of the Middle East. A 'Holy Soul' is the spirit of one who died during an attack. When we had bodies, we were trained as strong warriors; now that we have died, we exist in a state of spirit. Our souls retain the same personality, temper, and thoughts we had while alive. We seek revenge, and the United States is our primary target. In this global pandemic, the United States has been hit hard. We do not even need to take action; there are many other demon crowds who will do it. No one will easily forgive them; the American people must take responsibility for what they have done in the past. Even before we joined, the death toll in the United States was rising rapidly in a very short time. There are people in America who do not fear death, but when they encounter this pandemic, they still die. Furthermore, do those who fear death not die as well? The weakness of humanity lies in death, while the advantage of the demon crowds is that we have no bodies and cannot die. We can use this advantage to control humans and make them do things others dare not do."
The Laws of and Cause and Effect
"Within the holy war organizations of the Middle East, there are, of course, sages who can communicate with us. The location of the next wave of action and the dates of battle are kept secret. The training of these holy warriors is actually extremely strict, especially the psychological conditioning. We understand very well that while people cannot resist or find it difficult to resist what the United States has done in the past while they are alive, the souls of the dead are not something they can control. We will definitely find opportunities for revenge. This is fair; no one owes anyone anything. Looking at the soaring death rate from the pandemic in the United States, this is the price they must pay for the deaths they caused others in the past. Such a pandemic is not worthy of sympathy, nor is it pitiful. We believe that there is a power of fair judgment in the universe. When this power appears, it manifests in the death data, and this is as it should be!"
"We are not the demon crowds who spread the pandemic, but we are the Middle Eastern Holy Souls who take counter-actions against those who try to stop its spread. You may call us demons, but we do not kill the innocent indiscriminately. If the other party is kind, we will not touch a hair on their head; this is our principle. Our main mission this time is to invade those who are trying to stop the pandemic. There is no specific target, but the United States is the main one. Currently, about ten thousand people have been invaded, and about five hundred have died. It seems that among the American population, when you count the cruel things they did in their past lives, not many can escape this pandemic. In this situation, death is just a matter of probability and time. Previously, we did not join the pandemic in the United States. We held an attitude of 'let's see what you can do' toward the pandemic and the pandemic demons. We did not expect the pandemic to grow larger and larger. Since the pandemic demons are doing such a 'magnificent' job, we applaud them. Anyone who blocks this pandemic, who can slow it down or even resolve it, is our target. Although we did not stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the pandemic demons to reach the peak of the death toll, it does not mean we have not contributed. That is to say, anyone who stops the progress of the pandemic is our target—we want to ensure the pandemic continues to progress smoothly!"
Why the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre Was Spared
"Why was the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre not on our attack list? Why did we come to investigate? Because as the pandemic has progressed, people have been desperate for a solution. Under these circumstances, the Centre proposed to step forward to resolve the pandemic, yet our Holy Soul ancestors excluded the Centre from our attack list. After scouting here for a few days, I can draw a simple conclusion: it is because the Master here is Namo Amituofo. Because of the Buddha's equality, his respect for life, and his salvation of countless spirits, this place is worthy of our respect. Furthermore, it is said that many years ago, Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su saved the Middle Eastern leader, Osama bin Laden, who was also the spiritual leader of the holy warriors who attacked the Twin Towers. At that time, Namo Amituofo not only saved bin Laden's soul and brought him to the temple so he would no longer suffer, but also sent his soul to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This was a tremendous shock to our ancestral souls, allowing us to perceive the tolerance, mind-capacity, and universal love of Namo Amituofo. Because of this, our ancestral souls specifically pointed out that the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is not among our targets."
"Namo Amituofo selflessly radiates the energy from his body. As for how much one can receive, it is not decided by the Buddha, but by oneself. Those who have the to believe in the Buddha and do not commit evil will naturally receive more; those who lack blessings, do not believe in the Buddha, and commit evil will naturally receive less. This is a natural law. The Buddha will not treat us differently because we are holy warriors of the Middle East. To the Buddha, we are equal to everyone else and receive equal treatment. This equality is extremely rare and precious, and it is truly worthy of respect. That is why our ancestral souls warned us: the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre is not among our targets. This is also the power of nature trying to leave a path of survival for people. That is to say, if Namo Amituofo of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre steps forward to save the world from this global pandemic, we will not stop him. Namo Amituofo has a chance of success in resolving the pandemic."
The Discovery of the Human Body
"The reason I am revealing this information here is not because we want to help resolve the pandemic—that was not our original intention. Rather, we had been scouting here for several days and, before leaving, we wanted to get close to Practitioner Su to collect more data. How can this human have a body, yet his soul be able to save so many suffering spirits? To understand Practitioner Su more, and to understand his body structure, is to understand the reason why Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su are inviolable. Just as we were preparing to enter his body, we were discovered! This is truly a great pity; otherwise, such a human body structure could have served as an important reference for us to improve the quality of our souls."
"From the moment I entered this so-called Western Land of Dharma Nature until now, I have discovered that this is indeed a place where the soul can find peace and tranquility. Is this also one of the graces that Namo Amituofo bestows upon everyone? For us Holy Souls, peace and tranquility were meant to store energy for the next holy war. This means that if people in any corner of the earth cause harm to our Middle Eastern people and spirits, they will be punished by our ancestral souls! This situation is in stark contrast to the peace and tranquility of the Western Land of Dharma Nature; they are two completely different purposes. Now that I am in this place, I am being nurtured by this tranquility, and the plans I originally had in my heart have been faded away invisibly. Of course, that plan was to take defensive actions against those who would stop the pandemic."
A Humble Reflection
"I am so insignificant. Whether it was in the actions of the holy war before, or scouting for the tasks entrusted by our ancestral souls, to my insignificant soul, what I see before me now is a very sacred and noble soul that deserves our respect. I grew up in the holy war organization from a young age. I do not know where my parents came from, but my skin, hair, and eye color tell me that the blood of the Middle East flows in my body; I am a part of the Middle Eastern people. In the holy war organization, we listened to the teachings of our ancestors and leaders. Obedience and not fearing death were concepts instilled in us from childhood, so we could grit our teeth and accept any strict training. If someone had poor physical strength or a weak will, they would naturally be eliminated during the training process—that is, they would die because they could not endure the strict training. Therefore, those who could grow after training, be sent to battle, and accept the tasks assigned by the holy order, possessed judgment, action, and various super-strong defensive and reactive capabilities that ordinary people could not imagine. Thus, we often returned from holy wars, and even if we sacrificed our lives, we would cause heavy damage to the enemy. This is our victory, and victory is our only goal."
"When I was twenty-five, I dedicated my body to the September 11 Twin Towers incident in the United States. The world only saw the repeated attacks and explosions, while the causes and consequences of this event were ignored by people. Now, years later, there is really no need for me to stir this up here. I can tell everyone that, as the Buddha's teachings say, every cause has an effect. The American people must pay a collective price for what their country has done. People feel that the casualties at that time were innocent victims, but in fact, from the perspective of the Holy Souls, these people had once committed crazy acts of harming innocent people together in their past lives. These people gathered here in this life, and it was a good time to attack without killing the innocent indiscriminately. This is karma, is it not?"
"After the attack, our holy war souls were naturally drawn into the Demon Realm, because this was not an attack behavior that a human heart could perform; it was equivalent to a soul with a demon nature using a human body to commit the act. Our souls naturally joined the organizations of the Demon Realm because the training and character we received while alive indeed carried a demon nature. However, this demon nature was so firmly guarding our holy warriors and our land—the Middle East—to prevent our holy warriors and our land from being attacked by foreign spirits. So, you can classify us as Holy Souls or as demon crowds. In any case, we use our demon nature to guard our holy warriors and the land of the Middle East. This does not contradict the education we received from childhood; rather, it extends this spirit to the soul after dies. In short, guarding our holy warriors and our land is our duty. To us, that battle at the Twin Towers was a glorious and shining battle, which is why I am called Mo Guangyao!"
"Up to now, I have revealed many things unknown to the outside world. This should be because I have been influenced by the brightness and of this place over the past few days. Brightness and compassion are things we could never come into contact with, because they would soften the hearts of our holy warriors and reduce our attack capabilities. Perhaps this result is something our holy war ancestral spirits did not anticipate. What I have said is spoken naturally without any threat or coercion, so it is quite reliable."
The Buddha bestowed upon Mo Guangyao the Dharma name 'Shi Zhengzhi'.
