In this world of impermanence, everything is in constant flux. The world itself is a place of rapid, unpredictable change. Our hearts are constantly shifting, and even the countless cells and beings within our own bodies are in a state of perpetual transformation. There is no fixed time for these changes; they occur according to Causal Conditions, manifesting in different ways depending on the person, the time, and the place.

The Mechanics of

When you feel a sense of powerlessness, or when you suffer from the ailments of ageing and illness, you must realise that this is the accumulation of countless moments. It is the result of many Causal Conditions coming together within the laws of karma and cause and effect. When you created a cause in the past, and the conditions for it to mature are finally met, the result will manifest in your life.

If the result is negative karma, it will cause suffering to your body and mind. The time between the creation of a cause and the manifestation of its result varies greatly. This duration can span across aeons, or it can occur within the span of a single thought—from one moment to the next. Whether the karmic result is good or evil, it is almost always processed through the fluctuations of your heart.

The Power of Stillness

If you are a practitioner who has attained a level of meditative concentration, you will not allow your heart to fall into these turbulent fluctuations. Consequently, no matter what stage of and the causes and effects you are currently experiencing, you will have the awareness to act immediately. You will be able to transform your reality in the very present moment.

The Art of Instant Transformation

To transform your life, you must learn to shift your internal state: turn negative thoughts into positive ones, turn wrong paths into the right path, turn evil into good, and turn hearts and actions that cause afflictions into those that bring and harmony to others. If you keep the Buddha-name in your heart 24/7 without interruption, you will be able to adjust and transform your situations through the power of the Buddha-name itself. This practice allows you to regulate the condition of your Body-Mind-Spirit.

Chanting as the Ultimate Remedy

The act of transformation is synonymous with chanting the six-character Buddha-name. Within the Buddha's , as you transform your heart and your actions, the external environment will transform accordingly. The karmic conditions and the causes and effects will follow suit, shifting toward a more favourable outcome. In this process of saving countless suffering beings, you will find that your own fruit of practice is to help others, to save them, and to resolve their suffering.
