Teachings from Namo Amituofo, recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe.

On the twenty-fourth of September, 2022, Namo Amituofo offered these profound teachings on the nature of the True Heart.

The Purity of the True Heart

The True Heart is entirely unstained; it is the clear and radiant manifestation of pure Goodness. When we speak of the language of the True Heart, we refer to words that arise directly from this unblemished source. Such words possess a unique power: they can pierce through the thick fog of confusion that clouds our daily lives, bringing clarity to even the most obscured situations.

The Righteousness of the Awakened

Those who have realised their true nature act and speak from the heart. Because their actions and words originate from this place of sincerity, they are considered truly righteous. What does it mean for words or actions to be righteous? It means they are in perfect alignment with the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. They are entirely free from bias, selfishness, or hidden agendas.

The Barriers of the Ego

Why is it so difficult for us to maintain this state? People often live in fear of being hurt, and as a result, they construct elaborate systems of self-defence and self-protection. Under the weight of these defences, the True Heart becomes obscured and covered; it ceases to be genuine. Furthermore, if we offer our help or kindness to others while secretly desiring a reward or recognition, our heart is already tainted. It is no longer the True Heart. Similarly, when we act with our own personal interests as the primary motivation, or when we weigh the potential gains and losses of a situation, our heart becomes clouded by self-interest and is no longer the True Heart.

The Path to

The True Heart is rare and difficult to encounter in this world, yet it is an essential condition for any practitioner who aims to see their true nature. The words of the Buddha, the teachings of our masters, and the guidance provided by Practitioner Su are all examples of this language of the True Heart. These words have the power to:

  • Break through the deep layers of confusion that bind us to the cycle of rebirth.
  • Explain the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way with absolute clarity.
  • Resolve the conflicts we have with our .
  • Invite spirits to hear the .
  • Heal the illnesses of and mind.
  • Perform to save suffering beings.

However, the responsibility remains with you. You must listen to sutras and hear the Dharma. You must listen to the teachings and put them into practice. You must work to change your personality traits, transform your heart, and transform your thoughts. Be active and persistent in your practice, overcome every difficulty that arises, and you will surely see your true nature. Namo Amituofo.
