Recorded by Chief Writer Fa Ning on April 3, 2026
This is a record of an interview with Miaoyin, who sought at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his journey from a state of limbo to his rebirth in the Western Pure Land. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on April 3, 2026.
Miaoyin speaks:
"Namo Amituofo. Today is the day I immigrated to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. It is truly a day of immense . I have been waiting for this moment for such a long, long time, yet when the time finally arrived, it felt as though it happened in an instant. I heard someone calling out, mentioning my parents' names, and asking if I wished to go to the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss. I wanted to go immediately, so I agreed without a second thought. At that moment, I did not even know what my own name was. Fortunately, it was written here that I was the child of my father and mother, but what name should a child of such parents have?"
A Name Bestowed by the Buddha
"When I arrived in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, the Buddha said to me, 'Child, do not overthink things. You shall be called Miaoyin. Everyone here is Miaoyin; everyone here is a Buddha. How wonderful that is!' I was so happy to hear this. I finally had a name—I am Miaoyin. Today, I wish to tell my father and mother that I am called Miaoyin, and I hope that in their hearts, I will always remain that little Miaoyin.
However, I am no longer small. I have been away from the human world for a very long time. Counting the years, I realise it has been nearly thirty years, yet I have never truly walked in the human world. In that sense, I must have been trapped in that dark, cold space for almost three decades. I was taken from my mother's body in a state of total confusion; my spirit simply popped out and drifted in that space, never leaving. Because of this, I was not clear about many things that happened afterward. I felt as though I were imprisoned in that void, perhaps as retribution for some negative actions I had committed in the past. That is how I comforted myself during those long years."
The Clarity of Cause and Effect
"After arriving in the Western Land of Nature, I saw everything with perfect clarity. I finally understood that everything has a cause and an effect. My heart is truly free of resentment now. I had been lingering in the human world holding onto of dissatisfaction, but upon arriving in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, my entire being opened up, and I even grew significantly.
In terms of years, I should have been an adult in the human world, but because I was trapped in that space without any nourishment, my growth was incredibly slow. For decades, I remained in the form of a three or four-year-old child. I am speaking of my spirit—my spirit looked like that of a small child. Later, when I arrived in the Western Land of Dharma Nature, the Buddha-light shone upon me, and I transformed into the appearance of a normal young adult. This is truly inconceivable; the power of the Buddha-light allowed me to return to my original form. I do not know if this was how I looked in the past or how I look in this life, but it does not matter. After all, once you arrive in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, everyone looks like a Buddha. We are all Buddhas, which is why the Buddha called me Miaoyin—that is the reason."
A Message of Gratitude to My Parents
"I want to tell my father and mother that after all these years, you still performed Chao Du for me, and I am deeply grateful. I am thankful to Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su, and I am grateful for your kindness. Please do not feel that you owe me anything, and do not feel that I am pitiful. I am living a life far better than yours now. Of course, I am still very grateful to you for bringing me into this human world. Even though we did not have the affinity to be together as parent and child, at least this experience allowed me to understand many profound truths.
I cannot help but call you 'Father' and 'Mother' one more time. Thank you for bringing me this beautiful connection. This is a connection with the Buddha—it is not an ordinary connection; it is the most magnificent, most supreme connection of all. Only through this was I able to be reborn and transformed, and no longer have to endure the suffering of the cycle of rebirth. I believe all of this is the result of the good affinities we cultivated in the past, which led to this beautiful outcome today. Therefore, I do not hold any grievances against you in my heart; instead, it is filled with gratitude. I hope that you, too, can arrive here soon. Remember not to linger in the human world for too long. If you can do many good deeds while you are there, that is fine, but do not be too attached to anything in the human world, for everything is fleeting and illusory. Only by arriving in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss can one find ultimate, perfect happiness. Just as I am very happy now, I believe you can also feel the joy in my heart."
The Importance of Chanting
"Well, I have said quite a lot. I hope that in the days to come, you will be healthy, safe, happy, and filled with Dharma joy.
Remember to chant Namo Amituofo often. With every step you take, chant 'Namo Amituofo.' This will be of great help to you, and it can also save the beings within your bodies and the beings around you. This is truly a very important matter. From here, I can see that you are both filled with many beings. That is why I urge you not to overthink things!
Father, Mother, remember to chant Namo Amituofo, remember to chant Namo Amituofo, remember to chant Namo Amituofo. Namo Amituofo.
Namo Amituofo."
