This is a record of an interview with an aborted infant spirit who sought deliverance at the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre in Australia. He now resides in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. This account reflects upon his experience of waiting for over twenty years before his eventual liberation. Recorded by the chief writer, Fa Ning, on May 1, 2026.

Little speaks:

"Namo Amituofo. Practitioner Su, it is good to see you. I have finally stepped onto the lotus flower, following the Buddha to this incredibly beautiful Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I never imagined that I would look so different now. Even though only a few weeks have passed, how did I suddenly grow into a young man? I look so dignified and handsome—truly, I have taken on the appearance of a dignified young man."

A Long Wait for a Mother's Love

"My mother and father surely never expected this either. It has been over twenty years since I was aborted, yet I never once left my mother's side. It was only after Practitioner Su guided me to the Western Land of Nature that I finally truly departed from her.

I kept a tight watch, hoping that one day, my mother might reconsider and bring me back into her womb to be born again. I waited for over twenty years! Looking back, it is almost comical. How could my heart have been so unable to let go? That was exactly how I felt at the time. Even though I was aborted, I did not hold much resentment in my heart. I assumed she must have been forced into such a difficult decision, so I did not spend much time speculating. I just kept waiting and waiting, telling myself that one day, I would surely have the chance to be my mother's child again."

The Warmth of the Western Land of Dharma Nature

"After arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I listened very carefully to Practitioner Su’s Dharma talks. Only then did I realise that I should have let go of everything. The Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss is my true home. Practitioner Su is so compassionate; he provided us little infant spirits with a wonderful home in the Western Land of Dharma Nature. There is so much delicious food and fun things to play with—everything one could want. It is a place that makes one feel incredibly safe and happy. There, for the first time, I felt the sensation of warmth and love.

Although this is not quite the love a mother would provide, it felt as if the Buddha was watching over me with such immense, boundless . That compassion brought such peace to my heart, filling the void of the twenty-plus years of unease I had carried. For over twenty years, I had grown just a little bit. I was no longer a tiny infant, but I had stopped growing at the age of about five or six. It was only after I arrived at the Western Land of Dharma Nature that the Buddha told me I had been aborted in 1999. That means I am actually a young man now!"

A Soul Finally Set Free

"Haha, I am truly overjoyed to have this opportunity. I am also deeply grateful to my mother for giving me this chance. She must have started studying the Dharma to have encountered Namo Amituofo and Practitioner Su. Because of this, since arriving at the Western Land of Dharma Nature, I have not felt even a shred of sadness or sorrow. I am constantly filled with gratitude toward the Buddha—gratitude to Namo Amituofo, gratitude to Practitioner Su, and gratitude to my mother. Everything is so calm, peaceful, and beautiful; there is no suffering here. And so, today, as I arrive at the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss with everyone else, my heart is at peace.

I hope everyone can rest easy, and my family should also be at ease. I am truly happy now, truly free from all afflictions. I am a soul that has found liberation. Everyone should be happy for me."

A Message of Wisdom to My Mother

"I also sincerely wish for everyone to walk the path of studying the Dharma. I see things very clearly from here, and I want to tell my mother: 'Do not think only of yourself. Think of the Buddha, and think of all the beings who have not yet had the chance to be saved. Since you have the opportunity to study the Dharma, you must stand up and work hard for them.' I believe that with my mother's wisdom, she will certainly be able to do it. Thank you all. Namo Amituofo."
