The Duality of Our Being

During the fourth day of the Hong Kong Winter Assembly, Namo Amituofo offered a profound discourse on the nature of our physical existence. Within the heart and the very nature of every human being, there exists a duality: the aspect that changes and the aspect that remains constant. How do we perceive this? When our cells exist in a state of stillness, they reflect a condition of pure Goodness and clarity. In such a state, how could one even perceive the chaotic fluctuations of cellular change? If the heart remains unchanged and anchored in the Truth, the cells should not age prematurely, nor should they undergo harmful mutations. This is the natural state of , allowing one to maintain a sense of youthful vitality and natural harmony.

The Turbulence of a Restless Mind

However, when you remain in a state of constant motion, your mind is perpetually following the shifting tides of the external world. Your heart is then in an abnormal condition, and in this state, your cells can never find true peace. They are often forced to change repeatedly, caught in a cycle of endless transformation. As your mind shifts from good to evil, from calm to agitated, your physical body follows these fluctuations, and your life force shifts accordingly. This is precisely how cellular mutations are born. Because of the nature of human mental notes—the constant shifting between positive and negative thoughts—the cells are compelled to follow suit, manifesting the quality of your inner state.

The Interference of Modern Life

The character of your mind is constantly being tested by the turbulence of society. You are bombarded by the interference of continuous thinking, where everything you see and hear enters your brain and . Because many people cannot keep their hearts stable and calm, their physical forms are also in a state of constant, often detrimental, change. The body is merely a manifestation of the form, and this form is inextricably linked to the heart. If you wish to stop the harmful changes within your body, you must first begin by cultivating the heart.

Reclaiming Mastery Through Purity

To foster true healing, you must nurture Goodness and purity. When you dwell in a state of pure Goodness, a natural transformation will take place within your body. The renewal and change of your cells should be guided by this inner purity. You must realise that you have the power to take charge of your own cellular health. Goodness is the greatest power available to you. By making a sincere effort to change your mind, you can effectively change your cells. True rebirth begins from the cultivation of the heart. May you find the strength to return to your original nature, leaving suffering behind to find true happiness.
