The Namo Amituofo Village and the Path to Ultimate Bliss
An Interview with Elder Yuanyin
Recorded at Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre

Rebirth in the is the ultimate achievement of any spiritual practice. If one cannot attain this, then the practice itself loses its true significance. I have been drawn by these Causal Conditions to introduce my home to all of you. When I look upon this place, it feels just like my own home—perhaps even better and more magnificent. It is a true Pure Land of Namo Amituofo.
The Realm of Eternal Life
On the twenty-seventh of August, 2017, the practitioner Shi Fayuan asked, "May I ask where you come from?" Elder Yuanyin replied, "I come from among the beings who have been saved through the assembly."
When asked to share the grandeur of the Dharma assembly, Elder Yuanyin spoke with a serene heart. He explained that they come from a mysterious realm in the universe. In their country, there is no such thing as death in the way the world understands it, because they believe in the truth of immortality. Their realm follows the teachings of the deathless Dharma. This is not about some mythical elixir of life, but rather a very pure and simple faith—a deep, unwavering belief in Namo Amituofo.
Their country is not large, spanning only forty yojanas, and it is home to only a few hundred residents. Yet, they are incredibly wealthy, for their hearts are completely fulfilled. They do not fear the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death, because they trust that the Buddha will personally come to receive them. They live their daily lives in anticipation, free from the anxieties that plague the world.
Life Within the Namo Amituofo Village
The residents of this realm are sincere and consistent in their faith. They chant the name of Namo Amituofo and study the Buddha’s teachings with a single mind. Namo Amituofo is the great teaching master of their hearts. In their land, there is no suffering from the worldly cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death. While there is a slow, graceful progression of age, it is accompanied by such profound Dharma that there is not a single trace of afflictions.
Everyone there remains youthful, their faces radiant with light. They are filled with hope and vision for life and existence. This place is known as the "Namo Amituofo Village," and I serve as the representative of the villagers. Having reached the end of my time, I chanted the name of Namo Amituofo and attained rebirth in the Western Pure Land. It is my duty to introduce our village to the world, so that all may understand what a beautiful existence is truly possible.
A Sacred Sanctuary in Australia
In the human world, one cannot escape the cycle of birth, and one cannot avoid the mystery of death. People are often terrified by the unknown, fearing the puzzle of mortality. They know of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and they know of the great of Namo Amituofo, yet they hesitate to chant His name. Some choose to chant the names of other Bodhisattvas or Buddhas, and those who do believe in the Western Pure Land often chant the name without truly placing their faith in the Buddha. It is a great pity, for these are all beings who could have easily attained rebirth in the Western Pure Land.
Several years ago, we heard that here, on a mountain range in Australia, a sacred site for the Buddha had been acquired—a vast expanse of four hundred acres. At that time, I heard that this place would undergo inconceivable changes. I have watched over this site closely. Recently, I have seen the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, a pure temple of the Pure Land school. It is truly magnificent. The concept of the Namo Amituofo Village is not only occurring here; it is even more magnificent than my own realm. This is because there are so many Buddha or figures protecting this place. Its state of being surpasses that of the Namo Amituofo Village, for it is a manifestation of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss itself.
The Inconceivable Power of Deliverance
I have come here to praise this place, for all the conditions for rebirth in the Western Pure Land are manifesting right here. Because of true faith, all of this is not impossible; it depends entirely on the state of one's heart. When the heart is as selfless and vast as the earth, this is truly good news. I have participated in several sessions here. They are magnificent and filled with Dharma joy. Through the process, immeasurable and boundless beings, as well as all those listed on the memorial tablets, are saved.
The energy of this deliverance is truly inconceivable and difficult to describe in words. Many people are skeptical when they hear that chanting the name of Namo Amituofo can prevent illness and death, yet it is the absolute truth. There is no deception or exaggeration. I have seen group after group of beings receive purification. They leave this place holding their tickets for rebirth—some for this life, others for the next. Those with great chant the name and fly directly to the Western Pure Land, while those whose Causal Conditions are not yet fully ripe are reborn in the higher realms, waiting for the day their opportunity for rebirth arrives. Everyone lives in a state of profound silence, working together to create a magnificent Pure Land. To welcome all beings, the mountain gates are always open, waiting for those with karmic affinity to step forward.
An Invitation to True Liberation
Rebirth in the Western Pure Land is the ultimate achievement of any spiritual practice. If one cannot attain this, then the practice itself lacks true meaning. I have been drawn by these Causal Conditions to introduce my home to all of you. When I look upon this place, it feels just like my own home—perhaps even better and more magnificent. The Namo Amituofo Village is a place worthy of one's entire life of devotion, for here, one can attain true and great liberation. This is something that worldly methods and other teachings cannot provide. This peace of heart and purity of mind are rare, and I invite everyone to come here personally to experience it.
If the concept of the Namo Amituofo Village can be truly propagated, I have seen with my own eyes that the majority of people in this world will find peace and happiness once again. This is a rare opportunity. I believe that under the guidance of the Buddha’s compassionate power, this can absolutely be realised. Namo Amituofo.
When asked for his name, Elder Yuanyin replied with a laugh, "I was once a monastic, so you may simply call me Elder Yuanyin."
This interview was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Shi Fayuan.
