The Natural State of the Awakened Mind

On the thirteenth of October, 2024, during the first session, Namo Amituofo provided these teachings regarding the natural state of our being.

The Inherent Abilities of the Purified Six Senses

When you successfully undergo the purification of the six senses, the abilities that manifest are not new acquisitions; they are simply the natural state of your true self. These powers have always been within you, waiting to be uncovered. Once the veils of impurity are removed, your original nature shines forth with the following capabilities:

• The Heavenly Eye: You gain the ability to see clearly across vast distances, both near and far. You can transcend the limitations of time and space, allowing you to perceive the past, the present, and the future with absolute clarity.
• Divine Hearing: Your ears become capable of hearing sounds from great distances, as well as the voices of beings residing in different dimensions and spaces.
• Heightened Sensory Perception: Your sense of smell becomes refined, allowing you to perceive subtle fragrances and odours. Your sense of taste can distinguish the most delicate flavours, and your body becomes acutely sensitive to every touch and internal change.
• Clarity of Consciousness: You gain a profound awareness of all thoughts stored within your consciousness. You are able to clearly perceive the memories held within your own mind as well as the minds of others.

The Natural Manifestation of Wisdom

These abilities represent a breakthrough in your capacity to transcend the constraints of space. It is important to understand that these are not borrowed powers from other beings. Rather, they are the innate instincts of your true self that emerge once you have achieved purification. These are known as the six supernatural powers: the heavenly eye, divine hearing, reading minds, knowing past lives, Divine Foot, and extinction of outflows.

These powers are attained naturally when you chant Buddha's name 24/7, maintaining a continuous, unbroken flow of mindfulness. You do not need to seek external methods or shortcuts. As your heart opens through this dedicated practice, these abilities will manifest of their own accord. This is simply how things are meant to be.

The Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way

The laws of karma and cause and effect are also fundamentally natural. They are the underlying structure of existence. The energy generated by your actions acts as the cause, which then dictates the trajectory of the universe and the movement of celestial bodies. This is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way at work:

• Positive Energy: When you cultivate goodness and purity, you generate positive energy. This naturally leads to auspicious rewards and the manifestation of light. When the universe and the planets are guided by this positive energy, they remain on their proper, harmonious path.
• Negative Energy: Conversely, when you engage in evil or impurity, you generate negative energy. This inevitably leads to suffering and the manifestation of darkness. When the movement of the universe and the planets is influenced by such negative energy, they gradually deviate from their proper course, which can eventually lead to instability or even the destruction of worlds.

This is the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way, and it is simply the way the universe functions. The light, Wisdom (Prajna), virtue, and auspicious characteristics inherent in your true self are also natural manifestations of this state. Everything returns to this original, perfect nature.
