Words of Namo Amituofo:
Recorded and transcribed by Venerable Fa Hui.
On the twenty-third of March, 2025, during the noon offering, Namo Amituofo provided the following discourse:
The Infinite Tapestry of the Realm
The Earth and the vastness of the Dharma Realm are infinite. Because they are infinite, sentient beings are also infinite and present everywhere. Every sentient being possesses the true self and Buddha-nature; therefore, it can be said that the true self and Buddha-nature are omnipresent. Because of this, the teachings provided by Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, practitioners, and those who expound the Dharma have no specific target or limitation. The teaching of the Dharma is, in itself, omnipresent.
This omnipresence of the Dharma allows it to break through the constraints of time and space. It is not limited by when or where it occurs. One can teach the Dharma in this location and in a distant realm simultaneously, and yet the teachings may differ according to the needs of the beings present. This is because, as the World-Honoured One once taught, the Buddha can emit a single sound, yet every sentient being understands it according to their own capacity and nature.
Beyond the Veils of Time and Space
Those who have realised their true nature can manifest countless manifestations that are present everywhere. They can appear in billions of forms across various locations at the exact same time. They are not restricted by time, space, this world, or other realms.
The resonance between the Buddha and sentient beings is also omnipresent. When a sentient being generates even the most subtle fluctuation of a mental note, the Buddha is aware of it, regardless of the distance or the space in which the being resides. There are no barriers of time or space for the Buddha.
The Eternal Resonance of
Because the true self of the Buddha and the true self of sentient beings are fundamentally the same, the Buddha and all sentient beings in the Dharma Realm are fused into one body. Therefore, the Buddha knows, sees, and clearly understands all people, matters, and things within the Dharma Realm.
The Buddha understands that the origin of all sentient beings is identical to the Buddha's own origin. It is the true self, a vast treasury of light. It is only because of confusion that various obstacles arise, and it is because the spirit travels in different directions that forms appear distinct. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas understand this truth. They are able to remove confusion where sentient beings are lost and resolve obstacles where they are stuck, thereby helping sentient beings rediscover their true self.
Returning to the Treasury of Light
At this very moment, the students of Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre are in the presence of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and true spiritual friends. This is the time to remove confusion, resolve obstacles, and realise one's true nature. You must cherish and grasp this opportunity well. This is an opportunity that is difficult to encounter even in millions of years; do not let your time pass in vain.
If you put forth one portion of effort in your practice, you will receive multiple portions of harvest. This is because, in this age of the Dharma’s decline, sentient beings carry heavy , making purification difficult. However, the Pure Land path is magnificent. When you combine your own efforts with the Buddha's , you will gain immense benefits of the Dharma. Only through this synergy do you have the true opportunity to reach .
