Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju teaches that continuous practice is the fundamental condition for achieving success in the path. Within the journey of continuous practice, you will inevitably encounter various challenges. You must be prepared to face the interference of your own , the presence of your , and the influence of demon crowds. These obstacles are part of the path, and they serve as tests of your resolve. To move forward, you must learn to let go of the various attachments that define the ego. This includes letting go of your physical body, your , your , your , and your . Through sincere and continuous chanting of Namo Amituofo, performing prostrations, and reciting the Sutras, you will receive the profound support of the Buddha’s blessings.
Changing your personality traits is the practical application of the act of letting go. It is a process of constant self-reflection and the sincere correction of your past mistakes. This is the most effective way to resolve conflicts with your karmic creditors, and it serves as a clear manifestation of your own . Under the support of the Buddha’s blessings, you can resolve these deep-seated karmic knots. By inviting spirits to hear the and performing , you engage in a cycle of purification and then more purification. This process cleanses your own Body-Mind-Spirit and simultaneously purifies the hearts of all beings. As the pollution of the mind is transformed into purity, you not only achieve your own liberation but also take the vital step of helping others leave suffering behind.
To truly progress, you must dedicate yourself to serving the community, listening to the Sutras, and hearing the Dharma. You must cultivate both blessings and wisdom simultaneously. This is the practice of acting without the sense of a "doer"—you perform all virtuous deeds, yet you remain unattached to the results. Through this accumulation of merit and virtue, the synergy between your own self-power and the Buddha’s blessings becomes manifest. You will find that you can resolve long-standing grievances with your karmic creditors and proceed to invite them to receive the benefits of Chao Du. Maintain your daily practice without interruption. Continue to change your personality traits, refine your character, and adjust your mindset again and again, until all traces of the ego-driven personality are completely dissolved.
