Recorded and transcribed by Namo Amituofo’s disciple, Venerable HaiZe.

On the fifth of July, 2025, during the first session of the day, Namo Amituofo offered these words of guidance to the students of the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre.

The Radiance of Diligent

Students of the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, under the loving care, constant encouragement, and direct guidance of Practitioner Su, you have begun your daily practice of prostrations at one-thirty in the morning. For approximately one and a half hours, you engage in this diligent practice with sincerity and focus. As you bow, I am present to bestow my , radiating the Buddha’s light upon you.

This light serves a profound purpose. It shines directly upon the , attached spirits, and demon crowds residing within the bodies of the fourfold assembly of disciples. Bathed in this illumination, some of these beings are transformed and choose to leave the physical form to enter the light, while others remain peacefully within the disciples without causing any further interference.

The Compassionate Sacrifice of Practitioner Su

However, there are certain karmic creditors who, unable to induce the disciples into a state of or draw them into other spaces to seek revenge, turn their attention toward Practitioner Su instead. Because the number of these beings is vast, Practitioner Su must endure significant physical pain and discomfort on your behalf. Despite this, Practitioner Su remains steadfast and continues his work, leading the fourfold assembly of disciples in diligent practice. He does this with the hope that you will overcome the tendencies toward drowsiness, wandering thoughts, and the distractions of other spaces that often arise during your prostrations.

Purification Through the Buddha-Name

You must listen clearly to every word and every syllable of the Buddha-name as you chant. Let it enter your ears and settle deep within your heart. Allow this to guide your body in respectful prostration. With every clear recitation of the Buddha-name and every humble bow, you are dissolving your karmic obstacles. Through this practice, you are purifying your body, mind, and spirit, cultivating meditative concentration, and making genuine progress on the path toward early .

A Universal Gathering in the Light

In this diligent practice of prostration, it is not only the fourfold assembly of disciples who are bowing. In spaces that the physical eyes of the disciples cannot perceive, there is a much larger gathering. Beyond the karmic creditors, attached spirits, and demon crowds already present, even the beings and spirits who have entered the Western Land of Nature are joining in these prostrations. Because I am present at the scene, these beings receive the blessings of the Buddha’s light while they engage in their own efforts to bow. This collective practice helps to dissolve their long-standing karmic obstacles and disasters.

The Equality of Salvation

The only difference between the fourfold assembly of disciples and these other beings is that you possess a physical body, while they are spirits without a body. To me, however, you are all equal. You all receive the same blessings and are all bathed in the same Buddha’s light. This provides every one of you with the opportunity to dissolve your obstacles, enter the light, and receive the grace of . For those beings who chant the Buddha-name and make the vow to be reborn in the Western Land of Ultimate Bliss, there is the immediate opportunity to enter the light and be led by me to that magnificent realm.

This is the assistance provided to the fourfold assembly of disciples and all beings at the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre in Goombungee, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. It is the magnificent benefit of the Dharma that comes when one is fortunate enough to receive the guidance of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, ancestral masters, and true spiritual friends.
