The Boundless Reach of Visualization

The practice of Extensive Practice through visualization is one of the most effective methods for saving countless suffering beings. This practice is not constrained by the limitations of time; you may engage in it at any moment, throughout the twenty-four hours of your day. Visualization is not limited to earthly creatures, insects, or beings in the ghost realm. Its scope is vast and can be extended to encompass the six realms of existence, the Four Sacred Realms, the entire Realm, the vast universe, and the Milky Way.

At any time, or during a Dharma assembly, you can visualize your , attached spirits, and even the demon crowds within your own body. By inviting them to join you in chanting Namo Amituofo, listening to the sutras, and receiving the teachings, you encourage them to resolve their grievances and accept . This process is also a profound form of purification for your own body, mind, and spirit, as well as the spiritual essence of your very cells. When these beings are bathed in the Buddha-light, they are granted the precious opportunity to enter the light and be led by the Buddha to rebirth in the of Ultimate Bliss.

The Threefold Path of Generosity

To truly walk the path of Extensive Practice, one must engage in the three types of giving: Dharma Giving, Wealth Giving, and Fearlessness Giving.

Dharma Giving is the most essential Dharma Jewel. By sharing the Buddha's words, the teachings of Teacher Practitioner Xia Lianju, and the lectures given by Practitioner Su, you can help resolve the confusion of many and dissolve their karmic obstacles. This includes the distribution of books on the Pure Land path, materials from the Hsiang Kuang Pure Land Buddhist Centre, and chanting machines. It is vital to introduce others to the name of Namo Amituofo, the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and the Infinite Life Sutra (The Buddha Speaks the , Infinite Life, Adornment, Purity, Impartiality, and Sutra). When you teach others the method of chanting the Buddha's name and explain the magnificent merit of the Buddha-name, you ensure that the six-character name enters their ears and becomes a seed of the Buddha's path that will last forever.

Wealth Giving involves using your resources according to your ability and your heart to help beings leave suffering behind. By supporting the Buddha's teachings and the bodhimanda, you create deep Dharma affinities throughout the Dharma Realm, which brings forth immeasurable merit.

Fearlessness Giving is the act of helping beings move away from terror and anxiety. By providing comfort and support, you allow them to find peace of mind and live without fear.

Cultivating the

You should strive to cultivate the Four Immeasurables: , , , . These are the methods used by all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to save beings from suffering and bestow upon them true happiness. By practising these, you can fulfill the wishes of all beings, bring them joy, and create extensive Dharma affinities that benefit a vast number of sentient beings.

The Six Perfections of the

Finally, the path to Buddhahood is paved by the Six Perfections: Giving, Discipline, Patience, Diligent Practice, Meditation, and Wisdom. These are the foundational methods by which a Bodhisattva benefits all beings and ultimately attains the perfect fruit of Buddhahood. By integrating these practices into your daily life, you walk the true path of the Buddha, ensuring that your practice is not only for your own liberation but for the salvation of all who suffer.
