The Radiance of a Joyful Heart

is not merely a fleeting emotion; it is a profound radiance that emanates directly from the depths of your heart. When you perform any task with a joyful heart, you are not simply completing a duty. Instead, you are inviting a feedback of boundless energy that nourishes your entire being.

Joy is a natural, spontaneous response of a spirit that is free from pressure, coercion, or external force. It arises from within, flowing outward to revitalise every cell in your body, granting you the momentum to move forward with purpose and clarity.

The Clarity of Letting Go

When your inner doubts are resolved and your path becomes clear, or when you have attained a moment of realisation, a joyful heart arises. You will find that every action you take is filled with a natural, effortless joy, and you will find yourself joyfully practising.

When the obstacles in your heart are removed, when you no longer worry and are able to let go, it is as if a heavy stone has been lifted from your chest. Your entire body becomes light and refreshed, and you will find that you can approach any task with a sense of genuine delight.

The Meaning of Diligent Service

When your efforts are affirmed and you see that you are providing true benefits of the to others, your heart naturally overflows with joy. You begin to see that every action you take is meaningful, and in this state of benefiting others, you are naturally engaged in joyful practice.

When you clear your doubts, release your attachments, and receive affirmation for your efforts, you are moving toward goodness. However, if you do not move toward this goodness, most people will feel unhappy and troubled. Their faces become clouded with gloom, and their physical health begins to suffer; their cells may age, wither, or fall into illness, and they lose the ability to be the masters of their own lives.

An Exhortation to the Students of Hsiang Kuang

My dear students, you are currently residing in the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Your primary goal must be diligent practice—a fierce and courageous commitment to your spiritual growth. I ask you: Why not place your full trust in yourself and in the Buddha? Why not let go of every single doubt until not a trace remains?

Why not release all your attachments and move forward without hesitation? Why not simply listen to the teachings and apply them with all your heart? You may wonder if your efforts are being seen or affirmed by others. In this sacred Buddha-land, you are never alone. You have the constant guidance and protection of Namo Amituofo, your teachers, Practitioner Su, and the Dharma protectors.

The Ultimate Realisation

With such support, you are assisted in your purification, again and again, until your heart is empty, vast, and clear, with nothing remaining. When you reach the state of , everything will suddenly become clear and bright. You will naturally and willingly dedicate your life to saving all beings, and you will do so with a heart full of joy.

In this state, you will perform any task without counting the cost, without seeking reward, and without any trace of . Your body, mind, and spirit will be purified until you are as transparent as crystal. You will be willing to offer even your own body for the sake of all beings. This is the true mark of Those who have realised their true nature. Their body, mind, and spirit live within a world of infinite light. Students of Hsiang Kuang, continue to work hard at your purification and break through your obstacles. Every one of you has the opportunity to reach Awakening, for that is your original, true nature. Every one of you is a Buddha. Namo Amituofo.
