Namo Amituofo offers these profound teachings to help us navigate the complexities of our existence. Recorded by the chief writer, Venerable HaiZe, on July 17, 2022, this message serves as a guide for those seeking to refine their body and mind.

The Trap of Personality

In this world, there is a strong emphasis on cultivating one's own unique personality and individual style. People are encouraged to stand out, to be different, and to make a lasting impression. However, this pursuit of uniqueness often leads to a hardened ego. When one is overly focused on being special, one becomes stubborn and resistant to wise counseling.

The Hidden Reality of Ego

From the perspective of the Truth, when your personality is fully manifest—when you insist on your own views, refuse to let others challenge your opinions, and are filled with —you are creating a fertile ground for negative . At such moments, your ego-attachment acts as an invitation. Spiritual attachment becomes possible, and your manifest to seek balance.

Beyond the Physical Eyes

You may find this teaching difficult to accept. Modern people often dismiss such concepts as absurd or superstitious. However, my children, you must understand that the world beyond what your physical eyes can see is far more vast than the world you perceive. Just because you cannot see something with your physical eyes does not mean it does not exist. I, Namo Amituofo, share this with you now in the hope that you will have faith. If you are still filled with doubt, please do not slander these words, for that would only create the heavy burden of negative speech.

The Practice of Gentleness

Within the Buddha’s gate, we teach practitioners to be gentle, straightforward, and yielding. We encourage you to follow the flow of conditions and avoid unnecessary conflict with others. You must strive to practise the following virtues:

  • Freedom from greed
  • Freedom from anger
  • Freedom from ignorance
  • Freedom from arrogance
  • Freedom from doubt

The Ultimate Goal of

Do not cling to your ego. Do not hold tightly to your own views and attachments. You must learn to let go of the self—let go of your self-views, your ego-attachment, and even your identification with your own body. By doing so, you can truly live for the sake of all beings. Cultivating a gentle body and mind is essential for this transformation. May your heart be filled with the spirit of no-self, existing only for the benefit of all beings.
