The Courage to Overcome

Namo Amituofo teaches that a practitioner must be diligent and persistent. When you encounter obstacles or find yourself in difficult situations, you must not falter. Instead, you must find the inner strength to break through these barriers and continue your journey forward. If you can achieve this, you open the door to the profound opportunity of and the realisation of your true nature, ultimately leading to Buddhahood.

The Foundation of Faith, Vows, and Practice

For those who follow the path and dedicate themselves to chanting the name of Namo Amituofo, there are three essential pillars to uphold: Faith, Vows, and Practice. You must have absolute faith in the Buddha and in the existence of the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. You must make a sincere vow to be reborn in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss through your practice. In your daily life, you must chant Namo Amituofo until your practice becomes a continuous, flowing stream that never stops, maintaining this focus twenty-four hours a day.

By arousing the mind and single-mindedly reciting Namo Amituofo, you enter a state where you are chanting yet not chanting, and not chanting yet chanting. When your practice reaches a state of deep, undisturbed concentration, you will be able to maintain this focus even at the moment of death. If your vow is fulfilled, you will enter the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, which is the achievement of becoming a Buddha.
