The Fragility of the Mortal Journey

Life is often filled with suffering, and it is difficult for us to truly be the masters of our own destiny. We are bound by the laws of and cause and effect, caught in the endless cycle of reincarnated existence. Whether we encounter fortune or misfortune, it is all a reflection of our past deeds, a manifestation of the Goodness and evil we have sown. Birth, aging, sickness, and death are the inevitable stages of our journey through this world. When our time comes to depart, we carry with us only the weight of our merits and our faults. If you wish to transform your karma, you must put in the work.

The Mirror of the Heart and the World

Everything we experience in this life is a projection of our own hearts. We live in a world where our Six Roots interact constantly with . Because we do not see the hidden causes behind our lives, we are easily swayed by the external environment. When conditions mature, our past karma manifests in an instant. To navigate this, we must understand that our external environment is merely a reflection of our internal state. If we can maintain a calm and balanced heart, we can face all people and things with clarity and .

The Path to Unshakeable Serenity

How do we find peace in such a turbulent world? The most important task is to put in the work within your own heart. Whether you are in motion or in stillness, you must face every situation with a steady, peaceful heart. You must ask yourself: what is right to do, and what is not? You must uphold the Universal Principle, the Truth, and the Right Way. When you live your life without creating new faults, you will naturally attain peace of mind. No matter how the external environment changes, it is merely a passing phenomenon. When your own heart is upright, the world around you will follow suit. This is the natural manifestation of Wisdom (Prajna).

The Great Cultivation of Stillness in Motion

True Meditation (Concentration) is not merely sitting in silence; it is maintaining concentration while in motion. This is the great cultivation. When you can transform the environment rather than being swayed by it, you have achieved the ability to save beings from the dust of the world. When you reach this state, you are no longer a slave to your surroundings. You will find that this very moment, right here and now, is a place of cool, refreshing purity. This teaching was recorded by the Buddha's disciple, Venerable HaiZe.
