The Foundation of Healing and Cooperation

My dear children, when you are here at Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary, you must learn to let go of your body and mind. If you are experiencing any physical pain or illness, you must cooperate fully with the Buddha and Practitioner Su. This cooperation is the only way to achieve effective control and healing of your conditions. To cooperate means to listen with a sincere heart. Whatever the Buddha says, and whatever arrangements Practitioner Su makes, you must follow them completely. This is the path to true recovery.

In particular, you must focus on changing your personality traits. You must learn to look at the good in others rather than the bad. This is a task that every member of the fourfold assembly can undertake through self-reflection and a willingness to change your ways. The extent to which you are willing to transform your personality will directly influence the effectiveness of your healing.

Uncovering the Hidden Self

Often, what you know about your own personality is merely the surface layer. The deeper aspects of your character are frequently hidden from your own awareness. You must rely on the guidance of a true spiritual friend or a person with clear insight to point out the aspects of yourself that you have not yet discovered. When such guidance is offered, you must accept it and change your ways. At the same time, you should invite spirits and perform to address the karmic causes behind your struggles. Only then can you receive the maximum benefit from the healing provided at Hsiang Kuang: A Sacred Sanctuary.

The Vitality of the Spirit

Spiritual elevation requires the acceptance of Buddhist education, which is a crucial link in your practice. You must understand these teachings from the depths of your heart, change your ways, and allow your Body-Mind-Spirit to undergo purification. When we speak of the spirit, we are referring to the three hun souls and seven po souls. These must be complete and each must perform its proper function. When they are balanced, they not only consolidate and strengthen the physical body, allowing every part of it to function as it should, but they also become less susceptible to interference from external spirits. This leads to a purified body and the elevation of your spirit.

Purification Through the

Buddhist education is the key to helping your spirit remain untainted by the and , which would otherwise cast a shadow over your true nature. During your practice, you must grow your virtues and serve the public. By being selfless and working for the benefit of all beings, you allow your spirit to be purified. The following practices are essential methods for purifying the spirit:

  • Chant Buddha's name to maintain a focused and pure mind.
  • Recite the Sutras to internalise the wisdom of the Buddha.
  • Perform prostrations to humble the ego and cultivate respect.

Above all, you must strive to think good thoughts, look for the good in all things, speak good words, and perform good deeds. To give rise to all and achieve the fruit of , you must begin from the very root—your spirit. Only by working at this fundamental level can you achieve the true effect of spiritual elevation. The purification of -Mind-Spirit is the necessary process that every practitioner must undergo on the path to becoming an awakened being. Namo Amituofo.
