Once again, I have arrived in the human world. I have come with a different face and have taken on a different role to begin a new life. This is a fresh start, and in this lifetime, I was known as Zhao Puchu. Throughout my years, I lived with an upright and unyielding attitude. I dedicated every ounce of my energy to defending the Buddha’s teachings, which I held so dear to my heart.
Looking back at those days, I lived with clear goals and noble ideals. I worked with diligent practice every single day within my field, and I was satisfied with all that I had achieved, especially the position I held within the Buddhist community. However, now that I reside in the Western Land, I look back at the world I once clung to with such attachment. The distance between that world and this place is vast—it is a distance of ten thousand trillion lands. This distance cannot be measured by scientific instruments; it can feel incredibly far, or it can feel very close.
To the Zhao Puchu who lived in the human world, the Western Land seemed like a distant, unreachable concept. Although there were Buddhas, there was no true connection to the Western Land. I was indeed practising the Buddha’s teachings in the human world, but I lacked the ultimate goal of reaching the Western Land. When I reached the end of my life, I found that I had no true home to return to. Had I walked this path in vain? I ask the Buddha, and I am filled with gratitude for His infinite . I am also deeply grateful that the human world has the Hsiang Kuang Buddhist Centre. Without this sanctuary, how could a person like me, Zhao Puchu, have ever possessed the merit to reach the Western Land?
I spent my entire life defending the Buddha’s teachings, yet without the Western Land, where would all the spirits who believe in the Buddha go? The karmic sins I created during my life are so heavy and profound. Now, as a spirit without a physical body, I often wonder what I can do to truly help everyone. I am currently enjoying the beauty of the Western Land, where the compassionate voice of resonates in my ears every single day. Here, there is no suffering, only ultimate bliss. Yet, when I look out at the world, I see countless spirits still drowning in the sea of suffering in the worldly realm. I cannot be selfish and enjoy this peace alone.
A glimmer of hope has allowed me to convey this message to you. However, the worldly realm is already filled with doubt and mistrust. Even when the Buddha speaks, people are often unwilling to believe. Please, stop playing with your life. Just believe me, someone who has already walked this path, one time. I have lived through that life, and I can tell you that it is truly an illusion. It was only when I was left with nothing but my spirit that I could clearly see through all these false appearances.
I must wake you up before it is too late. Everything you have around you right now, including your own physical body, is entirely false. At the very moment you stop breathing, all of it will vanish into nothingness. The only thing you will take with you is the heavy burden of the sins you have created, which you cannot repay. You arrive in this world with nothing, and you spend your entire life creating new . Is this really worth it? My dear friends, the truth is in the Western Land. Your true home is in the Western Land.
Let go of everything you currently desire to possess. With just one Buddha-name—Namo Amituofo—and the guidance of Amitabha, you can return home. We are all waiting for you in the Western Land. We are waiting for you to return so that we may be reunited. Please, take this opportunity to practise diligently and ensure your place in the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. Do not let another moment pass in confusion. The path is clear, and the invitation is open to all who are willing to turn their hearts toward the light of Namo Amituofo.
