The Vastness of the Original Nature

The vast and boundless heart is an inherent treasure possessed by all beings. When one walks within the oneness of all things, in harmony with the Realm and present with all existence, this is the attainment of the through becoming an awakened being. It is a state of perfect unity where the individual spirit resonates with the infinite wisdom of the universe. In this modern age, however, we find that the true self is often trapped within the physical body, unable to take charge of its own destiny.

The and the spirit have long drifted into various realms, often becoming attached spirits in search of a place to rest. Others are sent to the hells to be judged and to undergo the consequences of their past actions, with various forms of suffering occurring within the spiritual realms. When the true self is not in control, the physical body reflects this disharmony, becoming prone to illness and finding it difficult to focus or remain clear. In such states, is effectively being controlled by other beings—specifically, one's . At these times, every action taken is not the result of the true self’s will, but rather the manifestation of the and the laws of and cause and effect driven by these attached spirits.

The Karmic Roots of Family Bonds

Consider the relationships we have with our parents. If the true self has come into this life to repay a kindness or settle a debt of gratitude, the child will naturally be easy to raise and guide. Such a child does not cause their parents to worry; they are filial, obedient, and willing to listen to the wisdom of their elders and teachers. Conversely, if the relationship is one of seeking revenge and repaying grievances, the child will be difficult to raise and discipline. The parents will often find themselves filled with worry, as the child may be unfilial and refuse to heed the guidance of those who wish to help them.

These dynamics are the visible manifestations of the cycle of rebirth. The formation of these karmic patterns is entirely rooted in the laws of karma and cause and effect that govern our existence. The current state of humanity is such that the true self finds it incredibly difficult to take the lead. Instead, we are frequently dominated by our karmic creditors. Because the relationship between humans and these spirits is so often defined by the need to settle past grievances, our body, mind, and spirit become increasingly polluted by the environment as we grow. We find ourselves trapped in the cycle of birth, old age, sickness, and death, repeating this process life after life. In this current lifetime, some are even exploited by demon crowds, leading them to commit various sins and continue their endless wandering in samsara. This is truly a state of extreme suffering.
